Is this game has some cheats?
I need a MOST MOST POWERFUL God!Where can I find it?
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Cheats are in the form of some personal modding you can do (look at the modding commands, and make your national scout units into killing machines. Yawn)
AFAIK there are no in-game cheats - this is designed as a MP game, after all. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
But if you really want the most powerful god... Well, I quess Risen Oracle of Agartha would be a good start. Earth 4, Death 4, Dominion 10, make him some magic armor and a weapon or two. I'm not sure what other paths would give him most. Air would give him defensive spells (Air Shield, Mirror Image, Mistform). Water would give him Quickness and increased defence (but Quickness can be gotten from items after lots of research in Construction in both EA and MA Agartha). Fire would give him Fire Shield, but then again, there's Charcoal Shield...
Any way, lots of hitpoints, Awe, and if he dies he comes back (only loses his equipment) as long as you stay out of enemy dominion. |

I advise against cheating tho... it burns out the replay value of any game. Personally I edit .map files to make the game more challenging by providing computer opponents with extra units, better scales, extra provinces, and powerful magic sites in their capital. |

Re: Is this game has some cheats?
This is a set of commands to give late era Pangaea (nation 61) a specific god with specific abilities. That god will be the one in play whether that nation is played by a human or an AI. The game will still have you create a god and THEN replace it but you can just blow thru the creation part.
#god 61 656 -- Fountain of Blood #comname "Natural Disaster" #allies 61 26 -- likes to ally with early_Oceania if they are both AI #allies 61 48 -- likes to ally with mid_Oceania if they are both AI #allies 61 40 -- likes to ally with mid_Pangaea if they are both AI #allies 61 11 -- likes to ally with early_Pangaea if they are both AI #clearmagic #mag_blood 6 -- a bless #additem "Treelord's Staff" -- 2 more nature #additem "Skullface" -- helmet with 1 more death and support #additem "Armor of Souls" -- armor and 1 more blood #additem "Boots of the Behemoth" -- goes well with his size 6 #additem "Brazen Vessel" -- misc slot and 1 more blood #additem "Ring of Sorcery" -- 1 death and 1 nature and 1 blood #dominionstr 61 4 #scale_chaos 61 -3 #scale_lazy 61 -3 #scale_cold 61 0 #scale_death 61 -3 #scale_unluck 61 1 #scale_unmagic 61 0 Those commands can be added to the end of any .map file using any text editor you might have on the computer. (I recommend generating a new map or making a copy of the map file and renaming the game-map).Its a fun way to give the AI a decent god with decent scales and even extra equipment. Or to create your own favorite god-build and play against yourself as another nation to see how the AI does with it. What you might have fun with is that this type of god-building does not limit you. You can choose any unit in the game to make a god from. One of the greater demons? An "Eater of the Dead"? You can also give it any levels of magic, any equipment that you can usually make in the game, any scales, etc. Of course to use a god that would setoff the cheat-checks you will have to turn off the cheat-protection thing when you create the game with that map. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Oh! It looks like I've been using the #allies command wrong. It says player X will ally with player Y, and I thought that meant the order the players were selected in, not the nation numbers. (I.e. player #1 is the player at the top of the list when you set everybody's nations.)
-Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Yeah its by nation numbers.
And it only allies AI with AI (just to save 10 people the wasted effort of trying to get the AI to ally with their player nation) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif The game ignores the ally line if the nation isnt in the game. One of my programming routines added a couple dozen #allies <random #> <random #> to a map when it generated one just to make the games interesting. For it to matter, the alliance had to be one of the random ones and they had to randomly land close to each other when you created a game on that map. So you could play it many times with very different results. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
I KNEW it was a bad idea to have a lolcats thread.

Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Gandalf... why do you have the fountain of blood equipped to use the "Treelord's Staff", "Skullface", "Armor of Souls", and "Boots of the Behemoth" ? Do you have the wrong God listed ? OR Did you forget to add the correct mage/commander ? |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
You are right. I mixed god files there. Good catch.
Oh well http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif A bad example just makes it easier for people to make an effort to outdo it. Obviously someone can come up with something better. I look forward to seeing some. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Anyone looking to provide a nation with a powerful god can use this one from my recent SP game:
#god 21 652 #comname "SeaWeed Head" #clearmagic #mag_fire 9 #mag_astral 10 #mag_earth 9 #mag_nature 8 #additem "ember" #additem "shield of the accursed" #additem "horror helmet" #additem "hydra skin armor" #additem "boots of the messenger" #additem "ring of tamed lightning" #additem "amulet of antimagic" #randomequip 4 #scale_unluck 21 -3 #scale_lazy 21 -3 #scale_chaos 21 -3 #scale_death 21 -3 #scale_unmagic 21 -3 #scale_cold 21 1 It's important to know the #god must exist within the starting capital province of its nation, thus make sure the #specstart matches the #setland using #god. The number 21 can be changed to any nation number wanting to use this pretender. Nothing balanced about this pretender and its scales, but it will provide a very strong AI opponent. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Is that for a hosted game? Or a direct play game?
I didnt seem to need a #specstart but I will test it abit more |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Quote:
The #god only works on the nations capital province. The only way to guarantee the god command will work is by specifying the starting capital province using #specstart. Perhaps a future fix will allow #god to be placed anywhere, thus allowing its death to generate an instant war between nations. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Ahhh wait I see.
You are using a #setland and a #specstart? Yes they would have to be together then. But if you leave those off then the #god command will assign it to the nation whether it appears. Altho to play your god myself I did have to turn off cheat detection. Most of mine are within player limits so I forgot about that part. Try using your god just by itself added to a map file. It works. At least for me in Windows and Linux it does. Added note: The scale commands which also specify a nation do not need a #land, #setland, or #god command. They are also free floating. You can set scales for any nation. Seems like we could come up with a nice map-append list of scales which would insure that AIs do not damage themselves. Cold and Heat where needed, Order when advisable, Magic for nations which can make best use of it. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
I have a prince of darkness for Ulm, Middile Era, and I wanted to uberify him
By uberify..10 all magicks, uh...the scales leaning towards the "Good" sides, like Luck, Order, ect. and what are the nation numbers? |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Something like this?
#god 31 "Prince of Darkness" #dominionstr 10 #clearmagic #mag_fire 10 #mag_air 10 #mag_water 10 #mag_earth 10 #mag_astral 10 #mag_death 10 #mag_nature 10 #mag_blood 10 #mag_priest 10 #xp 900 #scale_chaos 31 -3 #scale_lazy 31 -3 #scale_cold 31 -3 #scale_death 31 -3 #scale_unluck 31 -3 #scale_unmagic 31 -3 Be sure to turn off cheat check when you create a game with this http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif The nation numbers can be found here. http://game.dom3minions.com/temp/Dom3_Nations.txt |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
I think it's Prince of Death, not Darkness.
Also, if map commands are like mod commands, you have to be careful giving holy magic to a non-holy commander. I've never tried it though, so I don't know. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
You could just make him #holy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Even if having a holy pretender is kind of weird.
-Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
I dont think #holy is a map command.
Thats way too often a confusion. It messes me up all the time in these threads. Much less working on the files themselves. On the one hand I understand Johan keeping the # sign but Ive often wished it was different between map and mod the way it is with server commands. Map to make an AI: #computerplayer 31 4 Server to add an AI: --hardai 31 It would have been helpful if mods used something like &holy |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Whoops! I didn't read closely and thought you were modding the Prince of Darkness pretender (which would also affect any AI who picked him, but that might not be a big deal).
-Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
The map commands also affect player and ai whoever picks the nation.
I think its alot of fun to come up with my own special kick-*** build for my favorite nation, then create a map-add of it so I can play some other nation against "myself" running on AI. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
OMG the title of this thread has me lmao, especially considering it's not even intentional!! ahahahah
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
What are Eriu, Tir'Na'Nog Lanka Ashdod Patala Gath Bogarus
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
ALso uh, is 10 the highest you can "Set" for them?
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Varesh,
They're new nations that have been added to the game since it was first made. Do you see the sticky forum post "New Dominions Patch Is Given Unto Thee"? Those nations are part of the patch. If you don't know how to download patches there are probably directions in the FAQ, or just Google "Dominions 3 patch". -Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Is there a listing of all items?
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
God I feel like a noob lmao
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Do you have the manual?
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
No. My dog chewed it up -_-. Yes, my dog chewed it up, just like it chewed up my shoes.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
is 10 the highest you can set magical masteries too?
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Yes, except in special cases that you won't want to bother with. 10 is the highest it's designed to be without booster items.
-Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Varesh,
If you need a replacement manual, please click the button on the left of this page, "support". Open a ticket, and our online customer support center will hook you up. Please do not ask the folks here to supply the information you are missing. Annette |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Okay.
Special cases huh? I see. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
?
Not so special. If you look back thru other threads its fairly common for people here to refer to the manual when the info is in there, and then drop the answers if the person says they dont have one. |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
No, referring to what Max said about Special cases that you don't want to bother with.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Hmm, #scale_unmagic , if i put -3 seems to only put it at zero.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Whoops, I thought I posted with a clarification but I must have forgot to hit "Send."
Yeah, the special cases--Dom3 isn't really designed to go above path levels of 10 or so without boosters, but there was a poster a few weeks ago who said he got to >100 by adding lots of randoms in a mod. Two problems: the mod was kind of unstable, and it kills the fun in the rest of the game. You have to realize that 3 levels is a strong mage, and 4 is a very strong one. When you're playing with 100 levels in your pretender you stop appreciating everything else in the game. My guess is that you're disappointed with the low-research-level spells like Fire Flies and Flying Shards and want them to do something spectacular. Rather than bumping up your path level to Earth 100 or something, I think you should give yourself #onebattlespell "Magma Eruption" or something similar and take 10 Earth levels so that you can cast one spectacular spell off the bat without researching it. It will still be impressive how much better your Earth 10 pretender is at that spell than everyone else, but it won't kill the joy of using other mages. -Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
#onebattlespell "magma eruption" would be pretty crazy. You wouldn't get the graphic for it iirc so you'd just start the battle and a bunch of people would explode for no reason.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
I see...can someone explain why #scale_unmagic -3 only puts it at 0 in the game? its just messed up, thats all.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Yes I know you put nation number infront of the -3. still not working lol.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Sombre,
Foodstamp reported Post#609512 that you can use #onebattlespell to cast spells you haven't researched yet. I'm trying to test this out right now and not having any luck. Odd. I wonder if it only works for spells like Thunderstrike which are built into some items? -- E9F1 Cyclos should be able to cast Magma Eruption #selectmonster "Cyclops" #onebattlespell "Magma Eruption" #end -- Sauromancer, Raise Dead #selectmonster 161 #onebattlespell 558 #end -Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
I guess no one can answer me D:.
|
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
Varesh,
You should probably ask on the map/mod subforum. In fact this whole thread should probably be taking place there (and it would be getting better-quality attention if it were). -Max |
Re: Is this game has some cheats?
He needs to talk to support first

I guess it wasn't ruined after all, Found it when I was cleaning my room.
Its been a while since I played dominions 3 and I noticed that link with the nation numbers does not work anymore, Did it die or something? I'm just curious if there's an updated one. |
