temperature scales and underwater provinces

I checked the manual and couldn't find any obvious text stating how temperature scales affect underwater provinces.

I have seen posts mention they don't but would like to make sure.

Thanks!

Re: temperature scales and underwater provinces

If it works the same way Dom2 did, the temperature scales have precisely zero effect in underwater provinces.

I know it at least affects troops because my pretender has extra fatigue from extreme cold. But I am not sure if it affects economy.

So I tested it and the temperature scale underwater effect units in battles but do not effect income.

(affect or effect?)

Affect is the verb. Effect is the noun.

(so, affect)

I had it as affect and overthought the issue and second guessed myself. Thanks http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Although now I feel dim hehe.

Don't feel dim, I have to think about it myself when I use "affect/effect". And I'm hopeless at "there/their".

Effect is also a verb. "We effected change in the process."

Affect is also a noun, meaning (sort of) an emotional state.

So, "The electroshock therapy effected a change in the patient's affect, having the effect of making him more happy, which has beneficially affected his interactions with others."

That is interesting... I was about to write "it is", rather than "it's" (or "its").
I guess that's what happens when you're not concentrating http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
