OT - Wiiiii!
Anyone else here have a Wii? I got one on Tuesday and if anyone wants my friend code, drop me a PM... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: OT - Wiiiii!
I don't have a Wii, but I took one about 20 minutes ago.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
I've got one. The morning after the first day I had it almost killed me and I consider myself relatively fit. Hint: it's all about timing for most of the Wii Sports game not how hard you swing. Slowly playing through Twilight Princess right now but the darn thing is loaned out more often than not. Everybody loves it.

LOL! I would have thought one might "leave" one instead of taking one, but to each his own... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
I am still waiting to find one in a local store. In a city of over a million you think at least one store would have it. No one will even allow me to reserve it.

Re: OT - Wiiiii!
Wii Wii.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
In a city of over a million, there is more demand too. They can only make so many Wiis. :-\
What's with the 4 year old humor? I'd expect that from Gamefaqs or something, but here? |

By the time atrocities gets done, we'll need a new carpet.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
I have no intention of getting one, yet strangely last night I distinctly remember dreaming about playing the bowling alley game. Maybe I want one and didn't realise it.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
I have no intention of getting a new carpet either. Let Azselendor clean it up! Or were you speaking of the Wii? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/redface.gif I had a dream last night that someone showed up and started demanding the wife and I pay home owner fees on our properties? When I asked for a contract showing were I agreed to the fees he showed me some torn up paper without a signature. The memory of the dream was fuzzy but I think he showed me a blank sheet of paper torn in half. Crazy!

Re: OT - Wiiiii!
C'mon Fyron, you know it clearly states in the paperwork that we have six to eight months after release of any computer and/or gaming product to make fun of the way it sounds.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
yes, I meant a wii.

I must agree with Fyron. Our humour has always been high-brow, intellectual and of the highest of qualities.
...Like the cantina. No wii's on the carpet! |
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
My youngest Son and My 60 yr old sister law each got one for xmas... I must say playing it does take it out of you, especially the boxing..... my arms still hurt. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: OT - Wiiiii!

Best Buy and Target got new shipments today, nation-wide from what I have seen. Went to Best Buy at 9, waited an hour, got one. They had 51, I was about the 30th person in line.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!

How could I have of forgotten to check Target! AHHHH http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/mad.gif |
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
I also found one yesterday. I went to a Best Buy half an hour before they opened, but they only had 36 and I was #37 in line when they handed out tickets. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif So, I went to the other Best Buy in town and got in the even longer line there. It turns out they had 44 and I was #44! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif
FYI, one of the Best Buy employees at the first store told me that they were expecting a new shipment late this week. |
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
Oh yeah, that boxing is fun... my girlfriend says her mom likes to play it to take out all her pent-up aggression http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif My 14-year-old brother is a beast at bowling, and my 4-year-old sister likes all the sports...
Twilight Princess is just awesome though... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif I also got this other game called Far Cry: Vengeance... no idea if it's any good, but the guy at the store recommended it so it's either really awesome or he was trying to sell off his last few copies http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif Haven't played it yet though - been too busy with Twilight Princess http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
[DELETED] I was being trite.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
Don't forget a strap. I've seen a nasty picture of someones girlfriend he bashed in the eye while playing Tennis, and a number of televisions with a hole in the screen when the wiimote flew off.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
...Is it actually called a wiimote?
'Cause if it is, I just might have to go 'hahahaha' every time someone mentions it. |
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
That was my understanding. Wikipedia says it's the nickname for it.
|
Re: OT - Wiiiii!
It's not a nickname, it is the official name. It is how the system refers to the device when it gives instructions and such. Wiimote and nunchuck. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
