Such a great movie....such a shame they ruined the sequels.

You think the 2nd and 3rd were as good as the first? Wow, most people wont even agree the first one was good.

Re: AT to the white courtesy phone.
I enjoyed the first one so much I wrote a paper comparing it to Plato's Allegory of the Cave. It's amazing how much cross over is there. I couldn't find a direct credit but I am willing to speculate that is were the writers got their inspiration for the movie from. Anyway I thought the first one was simply amazing, the second was like an attempt to close the first with a last minute change to make more money, and finally the third seemed like so many other sequels. You know the type; the "How much more money can I milk from the fan base" type of sequel. Mm... I wonder where I put that paper, I know it is saved to a CD somewhere? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Re: AT to the white courtesy phone.
I think they screwed up on the first one at the very end when they made neo realize he was the one. (isn't it amazing how his name is neo which has the same three letters as one?) They should have had the 2nd one be about him discovering his powers and using them, rather then just kicking the hell out of everything in the matrix and then trying to focus on the real world events. Lets face it, the real world events all sucked (with the exception of the big robot defender things). But thats just my opinion.

Re: AT to the white courtesy phone.
Neo is Latin for new, or the "new" savior of the human race. Or even the "new"est incarnation of the one. Remember in the second movie it was explained that "The One" is a regularly recurring anomaly in the Matrix. In other words Neo wasn't special or unique, he was just the newest version of "The One".

Re: AT to the white courtesy phone.
Think of the trilogy as part one of a trilogy.

Re: AT to the white courtesy phone.
Actually, if I'm remembering correctly, they had plans for a few more movies, but after the way the third one tanked I think they decided not to waste the money.
