\"Weekender 2\": resume?
 

I'll be hosting 9 serious players on the Glory of the Gods (MP) map. Experience is not as important as your commitment to stick with the game till the end, complete turns on time and let me know if you need extra time for some reason.

The long-term hosting schedule will be twice on weekends, once mid-week (something like Friday night, Sunday morning and Wednesday night). I'm in the U.S. eastern time zone. (But see below for beginning-of-the-game schedule.)

We'll try this as a TCP game to start, but may need to switch to PBEM if problems with my server prove intractable. I will force host turns at the appointed times once all turns are in. This will ensure that problems with the server don't cause anyone to stale.

Beginning hosting schedule: To get things started, I will leave the game on quick host, but with no timer, since it is easier to get turns done in the early game. When players do not seem to be meeting or exceeding the 3X/week schedule, I'll take quick host off and start force hosting on the schedule mentioned above.

Age: Early

Victory: The winner will need to achieve a Dominion score of approximately 2070. Each converted province is worth 11-20 Dominion points.

Settings:

Renaming on, playing with master password.

Defaults for everything else.

Post here with your nation choice, and send me a PM with your email address in order to get the IP and port.

We'll start once we have 9 players' pretenders uploaded.

There will be a pause in hosting over Memorial Day (U.S.) weekend.

Interested, though I am completely new to MP games. I'll only be able to send in turns on the weekends. If you can host on Saturday and Sunday nights only, that would be best for me. If you can do that, then sign me up for Mictlan.

Yeah, as of now, I can't do this. Oh well...I guess that leaves me more time to work on Al-Murrah. I would like to see how this game goes though, so is there any way I can view the turns even though I can't play?

So all I need to do is press Mictlan's open slot to make it human controlled, right? No pressing of the "Start Game" button? ;p I've been substituting in TCP/IP games and the only game I was in the starter group is a PBEM, so I'm not exactly familiar with how this thing works. :/

I'm presuming the reason it didn't ask me to choose a Pretender was because I only have one created EA Arco pretender, but it threw me for a loop for a bit. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif Anything else I need to do than press the slot?

I think that is all you need to do. You can't create Pretenders on the fly for MP like you can in SP, so if you have only one pre-made to load, it makes sense that it would not ask you to choose.

How do you know your Dominion score? Is there anyway to determine the other player's Domion score?

On the Dominion graph, the victory level is highlighted, so you can see how close you (and other players) are. Each province of your faith is worth 11-20 Dominion points, and I think the number of points per province is determined by how many candles you have there 1=11, 10=20.
