1997 FOO dosn't exist (nothing there when I try to requisition one-Error says contact oob designer) and the FOOs seem to have been mixed with the Barge Carriers.

Don't know if this has already been reported or not...

Uhm, Unit/formation number?

There are tons of them in the game, and a Unit slot number sure makes it a lot easier for Andy and Company...

Yeah, I know about the barge carrier/FOOs. If your not playing PBEM you can change both of the units in formation 70 to unit 248. This correction will be made for the next upgrade

There is a FOO in 1997 that I can see. It's unit 252. What version are you playing?

Just checked, there's a couple of FO vehicles and a para FO available for purchase but no regular one (v3.5CD). I seem to recall this being reported earlier.

The easy solution if you want just one is to borrow a UK one for now (select allies and buy a british FO).

Hmmmm..... I may have fixed this right after release then. When you look at the OOB with MOBHack do you see FOOs in unit slots 250 - 253 ?

OK, if you see FOOs in unit slots 250-253 then you should see a regular FOO in the game in 1997. Unit 252 covers 1997 and the "Art Observer" ( formation 227 ) runs 1946 - 2020 so I am totally baffled that it cannot be found it in the arty menu.

In 1997 I find them the fifth slot from the bottom of page one of the arty menu between "Lt Mortar Sec" and "Para Art Obsrvr"

They're not there in my game. In 1997 the slot for the 'art observer' is the first on the second page(so after inf SAM section/T). If you select it you get the "no units are available at this date, etc" message. The next slot is 'art observer/T' which gives you a single utility vehicle and nothing else. The third slot is called 'FO team' but gives you a choice of one FO vehicle (three types available to choose from) instead of a team.

Ahhhhh yes...... I see

I checked the default OOB. I fixed this after 3.5 was released. The short version of a long story is there are specific slots the barge carriers and assualt boats need to be in the units menu for the game to pick them up properly. They were shuffled out of place in the Canadian OOB sometime in the past. The UNITS were corrected for 3.5 but the formations we're missed. Your OOB likely shows Formation 227 "Art Observer" pointing at unit 246 "Assault Boat"

If yes change Formation 227 to look for 250 then change formations 228 and 230 from 246 to 250 as well

Correct, the formation points only to an assault boat.
