Reinvigoration and Communions
If a communion master casts reinvigoration does it cure the fatigue of all the members, both slaves and masters? or just the slaves?
I almost lost a battle because I forgot that sabbath master costs 100 fatigue (oops...) so I'd like to know if I have to have each master cast reinvigoration or just one. |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Self-spells cast by masters don't affect others who are exclusively masters. If they're both masters AND slaves... well, that might be something worth testing, but somebody's probably already tried it.

Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
It helps the slaves, I believe.
Sabbath master is best used by blood mages of a high enough level that it doesn't cost too much fatigue. |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
I was under the impression that it was no longer possible to be both master and slave at the same time?
The reinvigoration *power*, on a master, does nothing for his slaves. The *spell* should help the slaves as well. |

Sabbath master is pretty much the only thing blood 1 is good for, that I can see. |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Blood 1 is perfect for casting Reinvigoration.
And Blood 1 on Witch Kings is enough with a Water 1 to put on Armor of Souls, Blood Thorn, and a Brazen Vessel and start nailing SCs with Claws of Cocytus. A little Blood goes a long way. |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
I believe I tested it, and the blood spell that removes all fatigue doesn't have any effect on communion slaves.
Summon Earth Power is great spell to cast in a communion though, since all the slaves get the reinvig. |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Having some blood on the pretender can also help a lot a non blood nation to get up a small blood economy, so as to forge boots of youth. Many factions have old mages.
By the way, does anyone knows another way to bypass old age ? (apart from the blood spell rejuvenate) |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Gift of Health helps alot.

Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Yeah true, had forgot about this one. Thanks

Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Empowering nature a whole lot? Every level of nature brings the old age threshold a bit higher. Just giving a nature buffing item to a nature mage with old age does that, too.
But why everyone always forget about the Elixir of Life? Has the same effect as boots of youth by stopping aging, but has the added ability of giving an extra life in battle. Only bad part about it is the somewhat strange combo of nature and fire as the paths which are required to make it. But it ought to be good if you have access to mages with nature and fire while having no blood economy. |

Besides, the Reinvogration from the boots is also good in battle. |

is it a bug or working as intended? |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
I was doing some tests trying to figure something out and it turns out the blood spell reinvigoration does affect slaves. It also doesn't appear to cost any blood slaves to cast, despite what the description says.
The 100 fatigue on sabbath master is driving me nuts, especially since my mages wear armor http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/Sick.gif |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Give them extra slaves for the casting?
|
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
Yeah, I always forget the nature bonus to max age : renders more comprehensible the crone chassis.
Elixir seems nice : I'll try an ultra prismatic pretender, to test all those weird items. Nice to know good boys have an alternative to blood.(even if...well you know...one virgin more or less) |
Re: Reinvigoration and Communions
duke_commando - oh, in that case, apologies - guess I must have bungled my tests or something.
