Cool Blood Site Idea
The Vale of Infinite Horrors gave me an idea. While it presently has no positive attributes. it would be cool if a blood mage could enter and send a horror to attack a province each turn.
If that is a bit much, maybe a lesser horror. |

I think, it'll be hard to implement because now "enter site" order is not parametrized and you suggest to parametrize this site action with province number)

Regrettably, it is only new players whose blood mages get eaten by horrors/lesser horrors. Experienced ones either banish it to the inferno or kill it with a life for a life.

But Vale of Infinite Horror is pretty much the Blood equivalent of Inkpot End. I like these sites that only do bad stuff.

It'd be nifty if sites could invoke battle enchantments -- an accursed field which cast Blood Rain would be... interesting, for instance.

That sounds cool! Though I think the effect should only occur some percent of the time. There could be a Storms site, Northern Star ... really, any BE that affects both sides equally would work.

Are there currently any sites that allow a blood mage to summon imps?
Another idea for new sites would be sites that caused your army to be attacked, intermittantly-either by succubis types, assassin types, or just small parties of raiders, so that you had to keep a tight guard, or risk having the province overrun by the locals. |

Yes, Tower of the Devil's Bride. But it only causes unrest 5 so it ends up looking like a Bandit Lair, and gives just 1 imp. Devil's Den is easier to spot, because of 15 unrest, and it gives you a devil instead.
I like the idea of the insurgents province too! Hope we don't have to wait for dom4. Oh, is there an insanity-causing province? I'd like that! |

How about a site increasing/decreasing dominions for its occupiers?
Another thought is a site to be used for alchemy. Right now such an ability is quite limited. Hmm...but that should not be a blood site. |

Maybe you'd want to add a chance to receive a horror mark too. Seems like that would fit the theme when you're dealing with horrors.

I'd be amused to see an Arkham Asylum site with an "enter to alter sanity" option, that actually modified sanity by something like
(d6 * d6) - 4d6 Beneficial on the whole (a tiny Monte Carlo sim suggested an average insanity reduction of ~1.7 pts), but you might see a penalty of as much as 32 pts or an improvement of 23 assuming non-open-ended die rolls. |
