New nation thread pulled?

Where did the thread discussing the Jewish mythos foundation of the new nations go? I realize it was a little on the flamey side, but arent those threads normally just locked, not pulled? It feels wrong to me to just have the thread disappear...

Well a religious flame wasn't very nice on a forum about a game - things like that can degenerate easily and make many people very unhappy. Better this way? I dunno. But I think I can understand this

Too much flamewar potential. It's currently waiting for administrative review. Depending on the results of the review, it may be returned. Or it may not. We shall see. No, I did not pull it, in case anyone was wondering.

No, you're fine Aezeal. The thread started off bad.

The tone of the thread was set by the sarcastic and hostile title. The guy didn't seem too bad to me, but that was basically a trolling post.

Re: New nation thread pulled?

It did not help that some of the early responses to him were just as, if not even more, trolling than the OP of the thread.

I dont think that any individual post crossed the line the way it happens in some threads to get them managed by moderators (some of the posts quite expertly skirted that edge). More that the thread itself had questionable value which got it moved into the judgement queue.

It was fun tho to watch the community leap to defense mode. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Good job!

Yeah, can somebody besides me please make a "Dominions 4? Yes, please!" thread? I'm starting to feel outnumbered here http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Re: New nation thread pulled?

The pulled thread...the moderator discussion came to the conclusion that the topic itself wasn't taboo, and in fact most would be interested to see how such a discussion would turn out. It was the 'few' posters who were pushing at the board rules on making things too personal that was the problem. We all understand that such a topic can become quite heated, but if the initial post starts off on the wrong foot, then things don't go very well for a decent discussion.
