Brag about your biggest Heroic quality
 

So, I'm curious to see just how crazy some of the numbers get on Heroic qualities (the special things you get for an orange star).

I'll start:

I once had a hero with Awesome Presence that had a +11 Awe on a unit with no natural Awe or Awe equipment.

I've got Nifel Jarl with heroic strength of 82. With simple sword of swiftness he killed tartarian cyclops in a single turn of fighting.

I recall I had an arch-theurg with a lot of moves (dont know how many, but the number was ridiculously high, I recall). Too bad it´s a fairly useless çuality in a wizard. Personally I think that champions with above 50 moves should be allowed to dodge bullets in slow motion.

He's only 3 regular stars but my NiefelJarl with heroic toughness and about 150 HP .. nice for survivability

I had a wraith lord with quickness ability +180% action point...he attack 6 times with frost brand a turn...I feels like he is a ninja in japanese console game.

I also had a kin-breaker (the ma agartha hero) get +hp heroic ability, and plus prophet, Gift of Health, ma agar natural golem cult. He get 4000hp later, lol

The strength, toughness and speed bonuses are all relative, so you can get pretty silly values on the right chassis. If you're playing a giant nation, your initial scout can sometimes get hilariously high strength.

With the absolute numbers, I've sometimes dragged out an SP game long enough to get in the ballpark of ~+10 precision or mr, but getting higher is pretty slow, I think, and Awe / Heroic Agility are slower to grow.

Don't know of any way to measure Legendary Cruelty, other than by statistical means. :o

I've seen a Standard (35) and an Awe (+9). I currently have a Fomorian Giant with 184hp and 51str. He's just been getting fatter while he waits for appropriate gear, since in the same fight he got his hero star, he got a Limp. :p

I've had +10 awe on a non-awe unit. Adept Researcher +28 or +29, Standard +50 or thereabouts, so combined with Horn of Valor, Heraldic Lance and some other booster, it was absolutely ridiculous. Heroic Endurance with +8 extra reinvigoration is also pretty rad for basically anything. :)

My formorian king with gloves of the gladiator, boots of quickness and 107 heroic strength was probably my favorite. I had him nail any SCs left in the open.

I had a Van with heroic obesity. He had three-figures HP later. I still wonder how the poor horse managed to carry that lard across the battlefield.

Sorry for the grave-digging, just couldn't pass by this thread. =)

I played an SP game with Eriu, and from the very beginning i had 3 Sidhe champions, who, properly equipped, soon started taking 1 province a turn each. Naturally, they soon got into the Hall, and got different heroic abilities.

One had obesity (my favourite both flavour- and math-wise), another toughness, the third one - Iron Will.

Ironically, only the iron will champion survived till the end of the 13-year game. He had ~25 mr without mr-enhancing items.

But here's the fun part: during the last turns of the game a cast the spell that mummifies heroes from the Hall and got the 'tough' guy back. He had ~210 hit points. Doesn't sound too impressive after the 4000-hp giant, but well, Sidhe champions have only 14 hp naturally. Okay, this one was a mummy, with 35 hit points, and a Dominion-10 Gift of Health which doubled hp, but still... =)

In the same game my prophet, a Tuatha (14 natural strength I guess) had 58 strength in friendly dominion.

Playing an SP game currently with Nifelheim and one of my Nifel Jarls has Awesome Presence - Awe 17 unmodified. Don't know what to equip him with in order to maximize his killability.

Aegis comes to mind. If memory serves, the petrification effect is triggered even if an attacker is stopped by Awe -- the attempt is sufficient.

Awe + the natural chilling aura of a Niefel Jarl sounds like a rather deadly combination.

One of my favorite heroes was one of Sombre's Slave Giants from 'Warhammer: Ogres'. He had sustained so many afflictions that he was useless in melee-he lost both eyes, had a limp, had atleast 3 more afflictions, but had also attained the fear-giving Heroic ability, which got up to around 21 Fear, if I recall correctly, which-combined with his many hitpoints-still managed to make him a powerhouse on the battlefield.

It remains one of my favorites because, unlike a lot of heroic qualities, you could actually imagine it working: Here's a 20+ foot tall, inbred giant, with no eyes, wounds covering his body, chained up and encased in a metal helmet until battle--looks awful, smells awful, is probably psychotic in the extreme, and will undoubtedly eat your corpse once he's done "playing" with it.

Even though you'd have to be stuck in a small cell with this guy for him to be much of a physical threat, I still can't imagine anybody *not* being afraid of this guy, especially surrounded by 8 of his brothers, and backed by an ogre army.
