this is so very true i often check the landscape for lines of sight and were would be a good mmg position.

And finishing a 200 battle campaign is impossible i never made it past some 30 battles but i keep trying. i have conquered poland million times but never made it to the russian winter.

Early on in development I recal a number of times when I would work on the game until 2:00 am or later then got up at 5:00am for day shift.

I don't do that any longer mainly because I retired. However, the last time I worked nearly all night was on the game before the last set of releases.

It does have addictive qualities...

25.) You actually have an AAMG installed on the roof of the car, and a plentiful supply of ammo in the back seat. However, you keep on wishing that it would be an actual 12.7 mm caliber one, instead of the 7.62 mm, so you could have some chance if you would encounter hostile half-tracks on the mall parking lot.

26.) Your garden has been dug full of trenches and is lined with dragons teeth and barbed wire. You are currently thinking where to build the new bunker to give it the best lines of fire.

27.) You have attached smoke launchers to your bicycle, and are looking for appropriate WWII style Panzerfaust holders to attach to the front.

28.) You neighbours have obtained a LMG to discourage you from mining the road in front of the house. You are hoping to get a mortar from Santa so you could lay down a proper smoke-screen.

29.) You are entirely convinced that the only things that navy and air force did in WWII was to give direct support to the ground forces. And that submarines were not invented yet back at the time, because "otherwise they would be in the OOBs".

30.) You are planning to complete your home-made flame-thrower in time to be used for roasting marchmellows on next summers barbeque parties.

31.) Your cats have been named as Panther, Tiger and Marder. You are planning to purchase also a pet mouse.

32.) You store all your empty glass bottles in garage, in order to be able to produce plenty of Molotv cocktails should the need arise.

33.) As you rake the leaves off your lawn you imagine that you're actually rolling up your opponents flank as your troops thrust onwards into his rear areas! Too bad your engineers didn't quite get all of the dog piles but at least they're only slippery and don't blow up very often... ;)
