Germany Ho!

I'm leaving for Germany today. I'll be there for about a week, in Berlin. I plan to do a lot of sight seeing, and food eating :D

I know this place is very international, so if anyone wants to hook up, drop a line.

Oh, and I'm going there to play in a Magic : The Gathering pro tour. I won my plane ticket by making first place out of 125 people :D

Man, you can win a trip to Europe by playing M:tG? I'm feeling a bit foolish for ditching all of my cards about ten years ago....

Congratulations Jappezi.

I play magic myself, just casual games with friends and my wife.

I've been thinking recently about nations based on the ravnica guilds. Izzet in particular could be really interesting in dominions.

Berlin isn't really known for its food or beer and it's a little too far for me to meet. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy your stay and have a nice vacation.

Wow i didn't even notice there is a Pro Tour in my home city. My active magic time was long time ago but i'm still playing online tournaments from time to time (but none with this new V3.0).

Enjoy Berlin. It's been 20 years since I have been there. Back in '87 when the wall was coming down. That sure was a great time.

Good luck with your tournie. I loved magic when WotC had it. When they changed it from a "collectable" card game to just card game I sold all my cards and got out. Made like $1000.00. So funny to think of selling cards like black lotus for $150.00

Hmmmm... Berlin may be a good place for beer (and that a good reason enough to go there :D) but if food is a serious thus philosophical matter, there's nothing but France

Have a nice trip anyway !

While I highly appreciate many ethnical dishes of all around the world and I appreciate the French cuisine... being Italian, I beg to gently differ that "there's nothing but France"!!

:D

Congratulations, Jazzepi!

I used to play M:TG years ago with my cousin, and then later with friends. I think it would be great to see some Magic-inspired Nations in the game.

Uhm, that must have been no earlier than '89.

Ich, us oldtimers who can still remember '87 (and there's less of us, every day!) can't always remember what happened *in* '87. Between the drugs, the coke wars, the drugs, beer, Reaganomics, more beer, and all the drugs we took, things get a little hazy.
