The case of the vanishing pretender

Hi, something happened that has me puzzled. My pretender was moving to a coastal province when she was bounced by the global spell Ghost Ship Armada. The pd. routed making her flee. When I look for her she's still fine in the game statistics, not shown as dead in the hall of fame, still fine in the pretenders screen. But the problem is she's not on the map! I checked the map and used F1 to comb the game for her but she's not there. I watched the battle several times and she was not hit a single time. I would understand if she was killed by retreating from a assassination attempt, but the option to call god is unavailable to my priests. Is she banished or something weird that I don't know of?

The person that solves this riddle will gain my recipe for venison chili. Not for the faint of heart though, most people should skip using a habanero pepper to season this dish. :mean:

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender

Tried clicking on your pretender name? In upper right corner, clicking there moves you to your pretender.

If this is a bug report, and it looks like it, attach savegames.

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender

Not really. zip would be an alterntive to rar. But thats ok. it took anyway since rar is also a compressed format like zip.

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender

You can just rename the file to *.zip and it will go fine as an attachment. That forums are really stupid.

Oops thats not right. I have to do some other things right now so I have to log off. If you would be so kind would you do a walk thru for me. I have vista as a OS. I'm sorry to be such a pain, thanks for the help. :D

If it's a MP, just tell the name and on which turn it happened, then the admin of the game server can put a backup of the turn files to the internal forums for investigation.

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender

Thank you. The server is Llama server. The game is Blitzkrieg, its turn 70, and the race is Pan. The password is Alera. There, that about covers it.

You know if you want a bear tracked, a boar hunted, or a log cabin built. I'm your man. But as far as computing goes I'm simply terrible. Thanks for your patience. Bwaha :D

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender

... I think maybe a PM would have been better than the pass and everything here? ;)
I'll keep in mind you for the boars though :D

Re: The case of the vanishing pretender

Yeah, next time I will keep it as simple as possible. Let me tell you what I did, then tell me what I did wrong. First I created a new folder in my saved game folder, then I copied the turn files to there, then I archived the files and went back to the thread. Then I attached the archived files to the forum. All of this seems to be logical to me.

Then I checked the attached files and almost had a heart attack. I didn't intend to send what was sent. I'm planning on opening a dude ranch that offers hunting, fishing, and placer mining tours. I hope that the guys who wrote vista never come there. I would be sorely tested not to dry gulch them. I think I need to learn a new OS so the computer does exactly what I tell it to do. And nothing more. I almost Frisbied my computer in outrage at what it did. Vista :pc:
