Re: fomorian guide?

Well if you can't find it it's probably not there (somehow I doubt it but since this forum has a good enough search engine I'm not gonna try it for you :D.. well actually I did since it's soooo easy and found at least a thread with a few hand holds to start... you can find it too.)

ne1 = fail btw

Re: fomorian guide?

This thread has some elements of a guide. It is listed in the strategy index one of the stickies at the top of this forum.

Re: fomorian guide?

Can't you edit your post quickly private 007 could have easily found it himself in THE INDEX (as you pointed out) or with teh search engine in the forum. If everyone starts asking questions like that.... let's not make it too easy...

Good questions deserve good help
questions like this do not IMHO

Right-wing blather, in soviet Redeyeistan we help the forum-challenged by spoon feeding them.

And aren't you supposed to be the guy with hippocratic oath or are you just that firm a believer in tough love?

Re: fomorian guide?

No reason to be harsh, especially since you aren't an example of perfect grammar yourself, Aezeal. ;)

As was implied, the stickied "strategy guides" thread has most stuff written in these forums. If you find guides elsewhere on the 'net, it wouldn't be a bad idea to post about them here, so that they, too, can be linked to.

Re: fomorian guide?

Fomori advice from a victorious multiplayer game.

The big sacred Fomori are good vanity items, but require a powerful blessing to truly be worth it. I got a death 9, Nature 4, Earth 4 blessing, which meant that as soon as I got a Fomorian King for a prophet, I had a SC that's tougher than most pretenders, and has no urgent need for equipment.

***

But like I said, the big fomorian giants are vanity items. What I actually focused on was the Nemedeians. Insanely skilled medium infantry with magical weapons and very nice magical shields and armour. They were so awesome I hardly bought anything else in my capital all game.

You have guaranteed access to high lvl Death 3+ and air 3+ magic. I went all out to research up to Thunder Strike and Shadow Blast as early as I could, and was the absolute early game military juggernout. Make sure to search for death sites. It's not subtle, but it sure is powerful. Arrow Fend is good too.

Don't underestimate the little firbolgs either. Those guys have great stats, and it's not like the enemies will have much equipment either.

Re: fomorian guide?

I was harsh because of the stupidity of the question and the obvious lack of trying to find the answer on an easy question himself. I mean asking something only a lil harder to find wouldn't bother me but this is in the RTFM category and there is a reason there is an abreviation for that too... used quite a lot in here too btw.

Redeye: he said he tried to find it and I don't believe him, I'm not rightwing, I'm leftwing in the Netherlands... (where even rightwing is more leftwing than america's leftwingers.. )

I am not supposed to be the guy with the hippocratic oath I AM one of those who have sworn the hippocratic oath. And yes I believe in tough love and helping yourself it it's easy :D I also think all stupid pplz who come to the ER when they should go to the housedocter are stupid (hence stupid pplz :D) ... Them I have to help though (after explaining where they SHOULD have gone) and that doesn't go for this one.

Endo: despite the fact I his grammar wasn't the reason not to help him or to be unkind and even though I might not always be that correct in my english... the fact remains:
ne1 = FAIL

PS wasn't redeyeistan that place where they did nuclear testing.. ti would explain somethings.

I love you, Aezeal.

We would fight all the time while we raise our adopted children, but they would be all the stronger for it. :re:

But seriously, I do agree that while maybe it was put a little harshly, that if any info is readily and easily available in one of the Sticky posts, that people shouldn't be coddled, but just rather told where to go at the most (and I don't mean the hot place :p).

Although not in defense of the OP, the thread linked by the strategy index is pretty light, consisting mostly an analysis of Micah's win in RAND by a newer player churl. churl's post is very good though and Hoplosternum has some good points.

Fomoria is great and deserves an in depth guide. How about it JimMorrison? You are a professed Fomoria fan.

Actually this thread made me think of putting something together - this is without doubt one of my favorite nations, and I did have a victory with them, involving some rather intense late-game weaponry being thrown around.

I've been typing all day and just want a break though, maybe tomorrow I will get my literary kicks by telling Fomoria like it is. :happy:

to all those saying that thread is a bit light: I DID say that if he couldn't find it it probably wasn't there. And then something about how easy it's to find it.

Well maybe you get more thanks from the OP for that thread then the weak-hearted got for their help in this thread.
