Bloodless - Less micro game [running]
I decided to get start a game on Llamaserver with less micromanagement than usual. Envisioned starting date is June 4-5.

I love this idea, especially the no tartarians! Mictlan please (MA Mictlan has no recruitable mages with blood).
To remove blood magic, I suggest setting all Blood magic spells to level 9, or cost the max number of slaves to cast. |

At least Utterdark, Burden of Time, Arcane Nexus, and honestly I'd put the Forge into the group.
I will be on a conference next week, so I will have time to make the custom mod. Blood will be edited out through deleting or modifying spells and items. |

Started modding - all the undesired spells (all blood, forge, tartarians, ud, an, ac) are edited out. Blood sites and items are to follow.
A masochist could still use bloodhunting to empower scouts to research, but that's about it. Game is still recruiting. |

I could make blood stones available (copying boots and modding it accordingly).
6 players should be enough for a game. Anyone has suggestion for the map? |

would anyone actually make blood stones with no blood magic available? i doubt anyone is taking a nation which has decent blood casters?

My thought was that they would no longer be "blood stones" in the sense that another path would be substituted for blood in the forging cost. They of course wouldn't generate gems, but would still boost E by 1.

Mod should be working, and is available for downloading.
Map was set to Parganos but will be changed. Unofortunately I could not modify Blood stones as requried, so they are out. |

I was browsing the llamaserver and came across a promising map. Primea has the right number of provinces (I think you wanted 20 per nation) and not too many ocean provinces either (assuming we won't have a water nation).
BTW, did you decide on a nation P3D? |

Doh. I should have checked out Primea more closely. The version with the fixed starts was semi randomized and some of the provinces have defense much tougher than standard indie setting. If we go for the non-semi randomized version we will probably have to choose starting locations. Also, there's something strange about the map - provinces 64 and 65 seem to be in the same position. Haven't checked out exactly why that is.
Given that, I thought I'd attach a map I created a while back when generating a batch of maps through RanDom. It only has 120 provinces but was not intended for ocean nations so only five are water. I think it's an interesting map. The screenshot shows proposed start locations. The water is not as muddy looking in the real map as on this JPEG. If there's any interest in this map I'll upload it to the llamaserver for review. |

I checked the Primea map file.
Four provinces are inactive (64, 65, 105, 153) so that should not be a problem. We'll go with the basic Primea map as the semirandom one would give advantage to those familiar with the map. Fixed starts is an option. If less than 7 players shows up, we should give your map a try. |

Ok, sounds good. I think it would be good to assign starting positions, though. I ran a test with 7 nations and while some had lots of space, another two had their capitols two provinces apart. The other strange thing is that two nations had their capitols in 64 and 65...

Looked at Primea again, and it won't be a good map. That big sea essentially blocks expansion to anyone in the NW and SW corners.
Made a random map with 150 provinces, 5-7 starting neighbors. There is a minimum of 3 provinces between the capitals. Also added a connection across the sea. Now we are waiting for Ossa to submit pretender. |

BTW, the game appears to be on autostart so better change the map from Primea.

I am traveling overseas for vacation. I will have internet access, but might have problems with daily attention to the game. I set turn interval to 48h.

Looks like P3D hasn't managed to log in yet.. difficult siutation given he is the admin. Should we ask llama to delay the turn in anticipation, or wait until closer to turn end and risk pythium double-stlaing? The latter isnt' a good option given pythium's strong position in this game

Maybe wait another 12 hours and if P3D hasn't checked in by then we'll PM llama? That would still be a day before the next hosting.

P3D, if you do get a chance to submit a turn perhaps you'll want to PM one of us the admin password so we can delay the game if it looks like you won't have a chance to submit the next turn? |

With 4 hours until hosting Pythium's turn isn't in. Given that the llamaserver will be switching to a new machine shortly I'm going to already postpone hosting now.

Despite whatever untruth Shinuyama wants everyone believe, Pythium sent an ingame message about canceling the NAP 3 turns ahead.

I'm out. With my current position and the fact I'm going on vacation for a few days, and thus would have to ask for a delay if I wanted to continue, it's better if I just go AI and let you guys continue with the game.
