Re: Zebra - LA CBM - recruiting!

I think signing a pledge is silly. I'm more than happy to abide by the rules enumerated in it regarding going AI and not just leaving the game to stales as well as the other ones in this game's OP.

If that's good enough, then I'd be happy to play.

Re: Zebra - LA CBM - recruiting!

@Ossa: The seas will be dead, so no R´lyeh.

@Jazzepi: I understand, that signup rule is primarily to make people think twice before signing up. You´re a well known old player here so that´s certainly good enough.

I´m holding slots for the two of you which means that we need just one more to go, I´ll get the game up for pretenders this afternoon.

Fantomen August 23rd, 2009 09:56 AM

Re: Zebra - LA CBM - recruiting!

Game is up. You may if you wish start uploading pretenders while we wait for our last player to sign up.

I was thinking about playing but it looks like zzcat just took the last spot....

Re: Zebra - LA CBM - recruiting!

@Ironhawk:So it seems, Ossa has yet to chose his nation. I´m not entirely sure if he wants to play so I´ll pm you if he drops out.

Ok so then we are full, initiate your foul planning of malicious conspiracies.

Edit:Someone has uploaded a pretender for Atlantis, I assume this is Ossas choice of nation but I´d like him to confirm.

chrispedersen August 25th, 2009 02:45 AM

Re: Zebra - LA CBM - Upload pretenders!

Moderator: Will you be using fixed starts, and the fixed version of the map? The distribution of territories if not on parganos is pretty .. well .. awful.

Ironhawk August 25th, 2009 12:31 PM

Re: Zebra - LA CBM - Upload pretenders!

K, just let me know if you need me

Fantomen August 25th, 2009 01:06 PM

Re: Zebra - LA CBM - Upload pretenders!

@Chrispedersen: Yes we are using llamas fixed version with fixed starts and dead seas.

@Ironhawk:Ossa has decided to play as Atlantis, you will be welcome in future games.

Just waiting for Ghoul31 to get his pretender in now, hopefully we´ll start tomorrow.

Re: Zebra - running

hey guys,

I'm going out of town on Wednesday next week.
I've already posted for a sub a few days ago - I have one possible, but he won't be getting *into* town until tuesday. Other than that, I haven't had even one bite...

This is just an FYI - Anybody *know* anyone?

My computer died so I wont be playing anymore

Re: Zebra - running

Sorry to hear that Ghoul31. Did you try to find a Sub?

I guess I´ll try then...

Fantomen September 1st, 2009 07:20 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Looking at the graphs, I find it very unlikely that someone would like to take over Gath at this point so I´ll find someone to set it AI.

Re: Zebra - running

I decided to get a new computer. Can you delay the game for a couple of days?

Fantomen September 1st, 2009 05:48 PM

Re: Zebra - running

I suppose I could, but I´d rather you found a temporary sub. Since I stated no delays in signup conditions I´d like some second opinions.

Re: Zebra - running

DOH!!!!!!

Hey Fantomen - generally, I try to bend over for players, its a game, we're all people, life happens. I'd rather delay a couple of days and let ghoul play - please see my comments in private however.

Fantomen September 1st, 2009 06:14 PM

Re: Zebra - running

If there is no angry playermob showing up with pitchforks and sharpened sticks to lynch me, well then I´m going to consider Ghouls computer crash a force majoure and grant him the delay.

You´ve got two days then Ghoul, hope thats enough. I made a request for a temporary sub and if someone steps up I´m going to let him do a couple turns rather that postponing.

Fantomen September 2nd, 2009 05:10 PM

Re: Zebra - running

I´m absolutely positive I postponed the game, but something seems to have gone wrong. I appologize to Ghoul31 for this, sorry.

SciencePro September 2nd, 2009 10:07 PM

Re: Zebra - running

i agree with chrispedersen. I hate delays too but a day or too per person for unforseen delays seems reasonable.

With the unprovoked attack by Atlantis upon the peaceful giants of the north, the benevolent lords of Mictlan are forced to take steps towards putting the aquatic beast to sleep. The exiled fish are yet to learn that their warlike ways are not tolerated above the waves!

I'm going camping this weekend. Leaving tomorrow morning. Can we have a hold on the game till I get back Sunday? I'll be able to do my turn ASAP around 1-2pm EST.

Re: Zebra - running

Since we´ve passed turn 20 and the game has been almost free of delays so far, it seems to me a break over the weekend wouldn´t harm.

I´ll set the timer to sunday 1700 after next hosting (tomorrow 9:37am), unless Jazzepi gets that turn in before leaving of course.

I am without power for the last 12 hours or so; and into the indefinite future. I need to ask for a delay.

Fant, if you don't mind keeping an eye on it, if the time gets down to 6 hours or so, and I haven't submitted a turn, can you delay for 12 or 24 hours?

Best

SciencePro September 26th, 2009 01:29 AM

no power huh? Why don't you just forge a Tome of High Power? Watch out for the horror mark though...

Re: Zebra - running

Science: =P

Hey guys today (sunday) is my son's birthday - and I'm heading out of town for 24 hours.

Can we increase the timer to 48 hours? If not may I ask for a 24 hour extension on the turn?

Oh: And congratulations Patala - I have #no# idea how I'm going to stop you.

Fantomen September 27th, 2009 05:25 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Ok, timer extended by 26 hours.

24h is still ok for me, but if it is too fast for some of us then maybe it´s time to slow down. What do you others think?

Since we are only six players now I´ll change to 48 if two or more players wants it.

Edit: And congratulations to your son Chris! How old is he? My daughter got seven just yesterday.

After you have grabed a lot of provinces from me and magic dueled a couple of my thugs(the cloud trapezing sorceresses are really nasty)? I think you means "to destroy you" instead of "to stop you"...

BTW: Happy Birthday to your son:)

@all other nations: Would anyone be willing to see Mictlan conquer the world? With twice as many provinces than any other nation AND perfect magic diversity(sorceress) AND blood stones(god), few can stand his way if we would give him the chance to defeat us one by one...

SciencePro September 27th, 2009 11:57 PM

Re: Zebra - running

i'm fine with a specific delay if anyone needs it, but I think I would prefer a 24 hour time-frame for now. Maybe that's just because my empire is so small though...

chrispedersen September 29th, 2009 05:24 AM

Re: Zebra - running

Awwww thanks guys - really appreciate it..
He turned 9.

And he *loves* wargames - and dominions. Daddy has to kick him off the computer to get a turn in =-)

Re: Zebra - running

Guys, there is somethign seriously bugged going on in this game.

for 3 of the last 4 turns I have submitted, llamaserver has gotten my orders - and ignored them.

None of my armies move. None of my mercenaries pay upkeep.
So for example, despite the fact that I paid upkeep for Nergal - he is now unemployed, and the money is in my treasury.

None of my remote summons are cast.

My commanders that were ordered to move did not.

I equipped mages with blood slaves - didn't happen.
Moved magic items around - nothing again.

Mages that were ordered to go from defense to research did not. I am willing to forward my turns to an independent so they can verify

Re: Zebra - running

****.

has anyone experianced anything like this before?

Fantomen October 3rd, 2009 03:11 AM

Re: Zebra - running

@Chrispedersen:Sorry to hear that. Now some of your remotes went through at least. I was attacked by two horrors last turn, and that army in your fort sure as hell grew a lot indicating a gateway or massive recruitment.

This makes me guess that you have made revised turns to complete your orders that Llamaserver ignored, yes? Correct me if I am wrong.

This problem has arisen recently with llamaserver, I´ve had it as well as several others. You get the confirmation email, but your orders are ignored. Very annoying.

Other commands that has been ignored have been timer changes and postponing of turns.

Llamabeast has no access to his creation at the moment so the best we can do is to complete all our orders before sending in the first turn file.

The other problems has been dealt with by simply repeating the command, I guess you could send your revised turn file a few times over a few hours to make sure it goes through.

Fantomen October 3rd, 2009 11:59 AM

Re: Zebra - running

I am now changing the timer to 48h. Not because I really want to, I actually think the timer is often changed too early for my tastes. But it seems appropriate to minimize the current agony caused by the increasing bugginess of llamaserver.

For now try to get all orders right in your first turn file and double check the status page for hosting times and to confirm your turns have been accepted.
