Hello. I have discovered this new drug called Dom3, and is new application, the PbEM. Now, I'm want to be hosted in some new play. Please contact me and sorry my horrible english...I'm italian...

Good to see someone so eager! Anyways, it doesn't look like there are any recruiting at the moment, but I'm sure one will start up soon. You could also start your own game! Its pretty easy, the llamaserver does just about everything for you.

Llamaserver is a web-based host for PBEM games. Take a look at http://www.llamaserver.net.

Yes, llamaserver is used for most, if not all, pbem because it's very easy to admin, and there is little problem replacing the host if needs be, and turns don't have to be manually hosted.
You should create a new thread with the settings you'd like (number of players, era, turn frequency). Or post it in this thread.

I think I might start another small game tomorrow. 6 or so players.

My games use non standard settings, but settings that I find contribute a lot to the fun of the game (No Indies, CBM1.6 and so on).

So if you can stand to wait until then, you can sign up for that. It will be pbem, using llamaserver.

I was in your position only about 2 months ago. what I personally did was tried to get into games any way I could, no games were recruiting at the time so I subbed in for others. my first 4 games or so were games I subbed into, only than I finally got to start a MP game from the start.

also, what Trumanator suggested was that you open a PBEM game on Llamaserver, it really isn't difficult, you just need to choose the map and mods(if any at all, I strongly suggest the popular CBM 1.6 as that's what everyone is playing these days).

Most are small. 1-4 players. You can pick one and create a thread here saying "game at xxxxxx, come and join me!".

But they arent pbem. They are direct-connect games which play alot like solo games, but with multiple players. The simplest would be the Blitz games, and then maybe the vsAI which is blitz with computer players tossed in.

Hey max i'm new to dom3 as well and going crazy about games :) so what you say i start some 1v1 game on llamaserver? We can explore dom3 as newbies there plus we can then join sombres game as well.

I'd say let me know here if you are interested and i create one quick no mod, standard map game.

Yeah Yeah Yeah Kupiko, Im interested, but only one mod: CBM1.6 Complete, trust me, it's fundamental for balancing game...Create the game, prepare to host, and post here...see ya!!!!!
