Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

All players should note that the version of the Endgame Diversity mod given at the top of the thread for that mod is incompatible with CBM 1.6, which is also being used in this game.

The compatible version that you need is here:

Google is scary... I just googled "markatas" cause i don't know what it means, top hit was this thread "MP New Game... 7 posts - 4 authors - Last post: 2 hours ago..."

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

I'm tempted to play as Patala. I mean, you need markatas, don't you?
What is the proposed hosting schedule?

Herr Heimlich April 18th, 2010 09:26 AM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

If there is still room, I´d like to hop in as Jomon.

Juffos April 18th, 2010 09:33 AM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

Midgård, Marignon, Abysia and Gath... this bloody game needs Mictlan and I am willing to sacrifice myself.

Could I join with Ermor?

If you dont want that I'd like to try Ryleth. Or Mictlan, if you object Ryleth too;)

Juffos already took Mictlan.

ill sign on for Atlantis if youll have me.

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

That's 11 people which is close to the right number for a game to continue to move quickly. Map suggestions?

Quitti April 18th, 2010 12:56 PM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

Urraparrand should be about the correct amount of provinces - I think there was a updated version of the map somewhere, (might it be this?). There is quite a lot of water for just one aquatic and one amphibian nation though, but as we have ermor and mictlan in too, they can invade the waters easily enough.

theres an "icy urraparrandv2" on llamaserver that has it listed as 155 land and 25 water.

Same map as Urraparrand, but with ice covered sea provinces added in as wastelands. They form ice bridges around the map, and lower the sea province count so that LA R'yleh can more reasonably be added to the map.

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

Actually 11 people is a bit too much for me so I'll drop out of this one.

Graeme Dice April 18th, 2010 08:23 PM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

How are the starting positions on Urraparound? Decently distributed? If so, then we could use that map.

Did you start already? (am I late?)

If you would like an eleventh I would like to give Ulm a go if possible.

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

Yeh, and I'd try out Bogarus if you're not closed yet.

Graeme Dice April 19th, 2010 03:21 PM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

Okay. With 12 people, we are sitting at the maximum. I'm going to suggest the MP balanced Sharivar as it has 180 provinces.

Quitti April 19th, 2010 04:47 PM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

As long as we're using the one without preplaced sites, I'm fine with Shahrivar. The one with preplaced sites is too unbalanced, there is one blood 50 site and at least one conj30 site preset in the map.

NooBliss April 20th, 2010 02:53 AM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

But please, change me to Bogarus and Digress to Ulm. I have no idea how to play LA Ulm, to be honest.

Digress April 20th, 2010 03:59 AM

Re: New Game - Of Markatas and men - Late era

Neither do I :)

The game has now been set up on Llamaserver.

Quitti April 21st, 2010 03:03 AM

Re: Accepting Pretenders - Of Markatas and men - Late era

I presume it's the "OfMaraktasAndMen" -game, with a slight typo in the name? All the settings seem to match, so I'll submit my pretender to that.

And so the struggle for survival begins as Gath attacks the Marignon Empire with E/N blessed giants. Marignon retaliates by inciting the population in their capital in an attempt to shut down troop production while bringing up troops and his feared God to the front lines. A long and bitter war of attrition is sure to ensue where only one nation shall be left standing...

I'll be gone for friday/saturday at least so I could use an extension up to sunday afternoon EU time after the current turn hosts.

Tried emailing my turn twice now, never got a confirmation email from llamaserver for either and the server says my turn has not been submitted...

Quitti April 30th, 2010 02:24 AM

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

Well, you didn't stale at least.

Anyway, I got my turn 12 in, so the next one might need postponement but not this.

NooBliss May 7th, 2010 05:08 PM

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

Ahhahhaha :)

My God has ignored script to cast stoneskin instead of iron and died in his own frost aura :)
Having received chest wound on weak indies during turn 3 and getting stuck between Mictlan and Ermor didnt help either, so I was toast anyway. Good game, I'm going AI since there's not much left of me anyway - my armies are dispersed and God is killed, absolutely nothing I can do so I guess its ok now.

Quitti May 7th, 2010 06:51 PM

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

Good game NooBliss. Saw that last fight, and you would've won without that stoneskin :)

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

Seems my sent turn file had a problem, and I am not in a position to resend it. I'm dead this turn anyways so if you don't want to wait you can just host the turn.

Zapmeister May 29th, 2010 07:20 PM

Let it be known that the rulership and fate of Gath now lies in the weathered hands of Graeme Dice.

I've upped the turn timer to 48 hours, and increased the warning emails to 12 hours. I've also added 12 hours to this turn so that I can get a handle on what is happening in the game.

Indeed, welcome back :) Now I can rush you again! (No, just keep doing what you are doing there, you're at least keeping Ermor busy...)

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

Hello everyone, ive been leading the nation of Atlantis and its been a lot of fun, Ive been at war ever since the 2nd turn of this game and never had a break. Currently, Mictlan has an army that i wont be able to defeat in any manner on my capitals doorstep(1 of 4 provinces i own on land) and i cant contribute to the game very much anymore in my position. Im posting this because im going to be going out of town this weekend and I probably cant find a sub given the position im in in the game. Id like to just stale and let mictlan and Ermor defeat me if thats ok with everyone.

ghoul31 June 18th, 2010 08:51 AM

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

If you can't find a sub, then go AI. Don't stale

Juffos June 19th, 2010 05:22 AM

Re: Running - Of Markatas (Maraktas) and men - Late era

Brace for drama, for there will be some soon.

I must have a rollback. My PM to the admin clearly said the game must be postponed until 20th of this month, but there weren't any postponements.

Let me submit my missing turn file and force host after that and the game will proceed in full and complete order.

Thank you.
