Searching the old SPOBEDIT of Jim Bello
 

In the same time I play again WinSpww2, I play the very very old:angel Steel Panthers 1 (with Dos Box and Defend) too. So I search now the old "SPOBEDIT", a shareware created by Jim Bello.

It allowed to modify the oob of STEEL PANTHERS 1 as Mobhack allows today modifications for OOb of winspww2.

If someone has it on his PC, it would be nice for me to get it :)

I believe I have an old version, like 1.7.

I think more recent versions went to 2.x

I attached the one I have.

Ok, very thanks a lot for Spobedit ! And if someone had the x 2 version, it would be nice for me to have it too.



For Winspnaval : Waou..! It's very old work :) It's a surprise for me to see that it may continue to interest someone. But sorry, I have no more the mod files on my PC. I remember it worked very fine human Vs human, but it was not possible to play vs AI. If someone have it, and /or if some other want to work again on, I can give some help if needed. My opinion is that Shrapnel Games could have created a very great hit, using the SP system in naval adaptation : this kind of naval wargame on PC has never existed (détailled system of ships, weapons, etc).

Wooden ships is an other naval mod, for ancient navy. It works fine too, human vs human. If some one is interested, it could be possible to translate the readme, but my english kwnoledges are not good for that. Perhaps canadian player (Using french and english ?) could help here.

Hi Gentlemen,

A friend said me these days that it has existed in the past a 1.8 version of SPOBEDIT, better than the 1.5 version I have.

If someone would have it, it woul be nice for me to get it !

I founded a 1.8 version of the old SPOBEDIT for the (very old) Steel Panthers 1 (original game).

For the old members of the "SP 1sect", I post it in attached file.

If someone had a more recent version (2.0, etc), it would be nice to get it... :)

I may have 2.0 on a CD somewhere,but it's no good for editing anything
except the old original SP games,and the bastard child SPWAW.

Cool:) : It's exactly what I want to do : to edit oob's of my old Steel Panthers 1 (I play it with Dos box, it works fine)

Please, could you upload Spobedit version you have, it would be great to get it:rolleyes:

I just looked for it,didn't find it.

It must be packed away in a box with other CD's

Thanks, Cross, but impossible to enter on the site after clickingon the SPOBEDIT link (It seems that inscription is needed, or payment ?, and I do not understand the langage of the site.

On the other Hand, the spobedit version seems be 1.8.6 (limited or not ? I don't know). Mine is 1.8.6 limited.

The spoebdit version needed is 186 non limited or better (more better !:angel) : 2.0 or higher, not limited

I don't think any payment is required.

Tried to access, but one time coockies are not accepted (but my navigator is calibrated to accept ALL coockies, I do not understand), some other time, I receive the message : the "time key" has expired, some other time there is other incident, etc. This site seems be difficult in acces. So, I can not enter in the room to see the beautifulll girl :p

Could you, please, contact your Finnnish friends, to ask them if they can something to do to get the program with this MB site ? It would be great.


Skirmicher : Despite this new search direction in Finland for a 1.8.6 no limited version (perhaps), I continue to hope for your version 2.0 or higher (limited or not) :angel

Not sure where it is at this point,I've looked through all the CD boxes.
