What would you do if ...
your rainbow enchantress pretender get a disease the first turn it shows up ? (an imprisoned one...) with her dom she has actually 21hp.
Ofc you don't play a nation with healers. Edit: I have also to say that i was planning to cast very soon some global enchants with her. So i don't know if i should focus on a way to keep her alive or accelerate her death to do some clean global enchants. (but the huge loss in magic is so ......) |
Re: What would you do if ...
Forge some artifact with regen and put it on her until you manage to get enough research to put up the nature global that heals all units or you manage to summon a healing commander - i cannot remember right now, but there is one at conj6 (7?) that is summonable by anyone that has healing ability...

Re: What would you do if ...
Out of interest, are you playing mid era C'tis?
How else could she have got diseased so early? |
Re: What would you do if ...
Well it's MP and the game is going pretty well for me, so no i won't restart =p
I didn't know that regen stuff would stop the Hp loss, i was planning to do some fights with her to get some hp with regen but wasn't expecting it was so useful. Does it prevent also new affliction? Quote:

Re: What would you do if ...
If one of the globals you were planning on having her cast is GoH, then you should probably cast it right away.

Re: What would you do if ...
Was in a game where a fellow's rainbow pretender that he had designed for site searching found inkpot end and....got diseased in the first 10 turns.
Ouch. |
Re: What would you do if ...
Just fyi, I think diseased units with regen still lose one hp each year in winter. But that could also only apply to old units.
If BoT is up, you are ****ed :D. expect to lose a lot of hp. |
Re: What would you do if ...
THx everybody for your answers.
I think i ll go for a regen stuff and try to live with that. Cheers |
Re: What would you do if ...
I wonder if even with regen she will still get more afflictions? Mute would suck...
|
Re: What would you do if ...
Yeah, with regen if you lose one hp each year you can still get afflictions, however there is some evidence that this is at a reduced chance. Some say that regen gives 75% chance of not getting afflictions{{verify}}.
But Bullock, there is a reason you want a dome up as soon as possible on your cap. Prevents this kinds of nasty ****. Domes are also pretty hard to detect without casting spells. The other way is by attacking the province. (Both methods tend to alarm your enemy of your intent, I think domes tell you when they stop a spell, and a lone scout attacking your cap out of the blue, is a indication of a possible attack). And if you get a regular amount of castable random events at your cap, it is usually another player casting them. |
Re: What would you do if ...
Yeah definitely, i have to work faster on domes.
Thanks for all those advices. |
Re: What would you do if ...
Well, it is always a tradeoff, decide if you want to run the risk of getting your cap shut down by remotes or not. And the rain of toads spell is mostly only dangerous for nations who have low hp old mages, and no easy access to GoH or the Chalice.
Of course, every once in a while you get lucky and get the pretender on the first try :D. But shutting down caps is always nice. Because at high unrest they also stop producing a lot of gold. Which hits some nations more than others of course. But always consider if it is worthwhile to shut down your enemies cap with remotes. |
