OOB #30 patch updates wishlist
 

1)Is it possible to add the C16 (CASW) to the OOB#30 for the next patch? This weapon is the German 40mm H&K GMG (OOB#44,weapon slot#51)I believe it may replace the 60mm M19 Mortar.

2)Add the M3 Carl-Gustav to OOB#30.

I didn't send you any links the first time Don, I was guessing you guys would investigate the info and make a final decision on weapon specs/availability/credible equipment modernization.

Units will begin receiving the C16 systems in May 2011. I'm not 100% sure of this because Cdn military equipment acquisitions are usally quite a bureaucratic process. I believe this AGM would be used at the Coy level and not at section/squad level.

As for the M3 Carl-G I know they are used in the Canadian Army, I used to work on them. The only major difference between the M3 and M2 is the weight. They use the same ammo types. The Cdn army issued the M3's to the para units first because they were much lighter. The only difference in game between the M2/M3 I believe is the Heat penetration 40/50. This update is no biggy if it does no make final patch update.

1)OOb#30 (LG1 Mark II) 105mm howitzer gun
Replaced the C-3 105mm for support of light infantry battalions.
The C-3 105mm gun is used only with the reserves.
Fielding was complete by November 1997, 28 purchased Giat of France.

I'm almost 100% sure the C16 (CASW) Close Area Suppression Weapon will be fielded to Infantry Coys by the end of 2011.

The C16 (CASW) is an Heckler & Koch 40mm Grenade Machine Gun made by Rheinmetall Canada. The link you posted has a reference link to the HK model and Defense Industry Daily has a story on the HK model. All automatic grenade launchers look the same.

By the way, my 3 cents:

#153 Sexton - correct picture is 25047

#157 M109 - correct picture is 12040 (short barrel)

#213, 214 SF jeep - better pic is 36867 or 36033 (now there is a missile-armed jeep). Better icon for special forces jeep might be roofless 878 or other

#307 DHC-3 Otter - it should be single-engine plane (now it has picture and icon of DHC6 Twin Otter). Similar are icons 2770-72 and pic 7281 of Israeli Norseman - or I'm attaching my picture of DHC-3.

BTW: in Cambodia, unit 540 DHC-3 Otter should be single-engine DHC-3 as well (Wikipedia doesn't list Cambodia among DHC6 Twin Otter operators)

#312 DHC-5 Buffalo - better pic would be 9085 (of DHC-4 Caribou, more similar, that current Alenia G-222)

#313 DHC-6 TwinOtter - shouldn't it have carry=112, like DHC-3? (it has 12)

#321 DHC-3 Otter - same as 307

Correction: #311 DHC-4 Caribou has wrong picture of C-123 Provider, correct picture is 9190 (same picture for #312 DHC-5)
