air shield

what kind of protection the air shield (bless, arrow fend) provides exactly? from what kind of (battlefield) attack (magic)?

it seems to me that it protects not only from arrows but nether darts too. is there a list/simple rule?

It protects from most spells that have: Number of effects in their description. So if you are fighting Ulm and their Iron darts/blizzard, thats a good way to minimise damage.

p.s I'm not sure if it protects from ghost grip's stun damage but is should do. So if someone knows please clarify that:)

Oh and also it doesn't protect against rain of stones me thinks:)

what about magma bolts?

May I ask here:

Just as Arrow Fend protects against spells, does Wind Guide help for none/these same/other/all projectily spells --- or only arrows?

Also, does Storm (or similar) hurt projectily spells like it does arrows?

I read somewhere that storm protects in similar way(reducing the number or projectiles by half).

Edit: did some tests on that one but it didn't seem to reduce the number of projectiles.

Wind Guide affects your precision so it will make you hit a smaller area with all the projectiles(so more accurate with the same ammount of projectiles).

@earcaraxe: should work the same way for magma bolts but I have to test it to be 100% sure.

P.s test done it does work for magma bolts.

OK, I get the Wind Guide -> Precision. But the question remains: you might think "Wind" referred to arrows, does it increase precision for every single spell too?

Also, if Air Shield protects against Iron darts/blizzard/Magma bolts, does that mean Storm would do so too?

Yes thats why I said that the projectile spells we were talking about would hit a smaller area thus be more effective(for smaller battles) For immensly big battles against LA Ermor 1000 skellies whatever spell you cast will hit:D

I read somewhere that it does, but from the tests I did it didn't look like it reduces the ammount of projectiles.

Although it still helps simply due to the fact that it reduces precision so fewer of the projectiles will hit intended targets.

Re: air shield

The only reason storm helps is purely by reducing precision.

Also, arrow fend blocks magical attacks that are shield-blockable only. This means things that are treated as missiles, like bolt spells. Anything that is an AoE or just hits a target is not blockable. Most non-AoE spells that are projected from the caster are thus valid targets for arrow fend.
