There was a tactic I wanted to try. So sorry, nope.

Re: Integrity- EA game: Recruiting

Mictlan is still awesome. The loss of dowsing rods seriously hurts their blood hunting ability, but it's still very good with hords of Mictlan priests. I personally find that LA Mictlan is superior to EA, but they're still very powerful.

Game is up on Llamaserver.

This is the first game I am running,so hopefully I did things correctly.

Where can I get the mod?

Bat/man May 11th, 2012 10:08 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

No problems Soy!

As for the mod - can't you just get it from llamaserver?

dojango May 11th, 2012 11:39 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

ah, so this is a different version of CBM? could use a link as well; couldn't find it on the llamaserver.

Soyweiser May 11th, 2012 12:02 PM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

The server doesn't have a download link. It is different the Ettins are fixed, it should not provide problems with pretenders, but to play turns you need the correct file. (or a file with the correct filename :) )

Bat/man May 11th, 2012 12:44 PM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

Llama had a CBM ettin fixed - is that the one?
Might have to be renamed.

lets try to play and see if it works

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

Just need TC's pretender now.

Calahan May 12th, 2012 07:48 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

@ All/Ghoul

I've just uploaded a version of CBM 1.92 to the llamaserver that fixes the Ettin bug. It might well be exactly the same as the mod you are using for this game, but there is a download link to mine which should help prevent any issues in game (such as replay bugs, failed summons), which can happen if you are using the renaming workaround due to not having access to the exact mod you are playing the game with.

Link to the mod - http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showp...&postcount=441

It's on the llamserver (currently) at the bottom of the mod list.

Edit - Please note that you still need to download the full CBM mod to get all the new unit sprite files that you need to use and play CBM. The attached file is only the .dm file.

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

I possibly away till monday. Sorry to hold up the game until then. I might be able to do turns tonight or tomorrow.

odeoderok May 12th, 2012 09:51 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

It seems some people didn't have the correct mods enabled when designing their pretenders. The same thing happened (to me :)) in a previous game. The game needs to be created again at the server and Mictlan, TNN, Niefelheim and Lanka need to resend their pretenders. If people don't mind, I'd like to as well, since I thought of a better name :D

ghoul31 May 12th, 2012 09:52 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

I created my pretender using cbm 1.92, and it is working for me.

odeoderok May 12th, 2012 09:54 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

Don't you get 'Mictlan/TNN/Niefelheim/Lanka has cheated' in the messages? I get all four.

ghoul31 May 12th, 2012 09:59 AM

Re: Integrity- EA game: Running

oh yea

Ok, I'll recreate the game just using the cbm 1.92

just don't recruit Ettins from the provinces

Yeah, I feel sorry for odeoderok. But the real fight has only just started. He only lost a lot of income (both gold and gems). Not a lot of real armies so far. (I do think he lost at least one fort under construction). And it went a lot better than I thought it would go, didn't lose any daikini. With only one getting a affliction.

And now I'm looking for air gems :D. Anybody have any spares? Would also be willing to trade gems for blood slaves. (wants the slaves, I needs them. More virgins!)

Friendly fire?

it's an american euphamism for when the military accidentally shoots people on the same side. One of my dudes was a little too trigger-happy and must have blasted about 20 or 30 of his blockers.

Soyweiser June 11th, 2012 12:04 PM

Re: Integrity2- EA game: Running

I think you can. Not sure. Easy to test with some battlefield wide spells and the debug mod btw.

Bat/man June 13th, 2012 09:29 PM

Re: Integrity2- EA game: Running

Guys, it is considered an exploit to use commander blocking.

Ie., attacking with a sole commander for the express purpose of stopping an army from moving.

It was specifically mentioned in the opening description of this game.

Yet this happened on both turn 27 and turn 28 with the results of losing a castle and having an army starve.

Using a small army (10 chaff) to attack an army of 600 is also considered a gray area.

Turn 29: I don't know where the line between small stops being unreasonable - this turn an army of around 50 attacked - I guess I consider that reasonable.

Using this tactic makes scouts or cheap commanders ridiculously important - you have a significant chance of locking down a large army each turn for low cost - and this does not encourage a type of playing that most people want to engage in.

So lets keep going - but can we have an end to the commander blocking, PLEASE.

dojango June 14th, 2012 12:32 AM

Re: Integrity2- EA game: Running

If you're referring to our little scuffle, there hasn't been any "commander blocking". Movement orders are being resolved in a screwy manner. You moved your armies from province A -> B and C -> B while I moved my armies from B -> C and D -> C. End result? Army A and B fought in province B while C and D fought in province C. I won one of those battles and you won one. That happened twice. So our mega-armies stayed in the same province while our reinforcing armies were slaughtered horribly. Horribly!

Since this happened twice, I can only assume that it is working as intended; and since you can't really expect someone to wait politely in a province while you move in reinforcements from all directions, it is just something to keep in mind when moving troops around. If you hadn't run those 20-30 troops into "province B" my main army would have been there with my reinforcements, and the battle would have gone a lot differently. So I have lost dozens of valiant pixelmen to this situation as well.

Hi all, I've been horribly busy and haven't had much time to post. No need to feel sorry, I'm enjoying the situation! And your message was funny.

I'm not talking about moving armies A,B, C, D.

I'm talking that in the last 3 turns 4 scouts have attacked one army. So I'm just asking an end to solo leader attacks.

When army movements don't go through, the army defaults to patrolling. You're catching scouts who have been hiding in that province, or who are stealthing in to spy on that province (or who are carrying resupply gems for the army that failed to move).

So this is easy to check, Bat/man where the scouts carrying gems/items?

Anaconda June 15th, 2012 08:33 AM

Re: Integrity2- EA game: Running

Its not my thread but attacking with a scout ignites a different kind of a message/announcement than finding a scout by patrolling. That should tell something about intentions.

I never saw any gems or items but they might have been there. I do know that I didn't get any "sneaking enemy" messages on at least some of these turns.

And when an army is in B going to A, and the scout is going to B - that doesn't seem like a resupply.

Maybe it was. Like I said It seemed to me that cmdr attacks were happening- but I'm great with the game as its gone so far, its been a lot of fun, and dojo has been a gentleman on his nap. Going forward if it happens, I'll send a copy of the turn file to our game organizer.
