The game has started.



Hello, since I didn't find any game I decided to create one.

map : parganos Llama fix (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/showt...light=parganos) (just a suggestion, don't be shy if you have a better one ;) )

Number of players : 8 ( but we may go to 6 if there isn't enough people )

Age : LA ( here again all suggestions are welcome )

Mods : CBM 1.94

HoF entries : 15

Graph : off

Rename : on

I will be using Llamaserver.

Hosting period will be of 24h for the beginning. Extensions can be requested.

Trade agreements must be fulfilled. Diplomacy is otherwise free for all sneakiness and/or righteousness :D .

Everybody is welcome, but the overall level should be rather low (at least for me).

I'd like to join. I would consider my level newb/intermediate (I've played a good chunk of games, but haven't been close to winning any of them) although I am finally getting in contention for some.

Let me know. If you think that's too high a level, that's cool. if not, put me down for Bogarus.

like I said everybody is welcome, and your level is well fitted for this game ( at least I think ). I don't mind having very good players either, my only concern being really good players rushing through newbies and wrecking them in a few turns ( don't get me wrong, if your strategy implies rushing your welcome to do it, but keep in mind that we are all here to have a good time :angel )

I too consider myself to be newbie-intermediate, in that I'm generally a good player, but I have severe lack of knowledge of the better tactics and methods in Dom3. :)

I have a question for a friend though, he is also new to the game and was wondering what nation would be an easy nation to begin with ?

I might be interested in this game... I am most certainly not a noob but on the other hand i havent played for 2 or 3 years and i never really played cbm mod.

Ive expressed interest in one other game but it may be too late to join that one so if you want me in this game i may be interested. or if you want to keep it total noobs instead of just rusty players i understand.

I dont yet knkw which nation i would play as though since some of the ones i like are already taken..

Great ! We are now full house and I am going to create the game.
The game will be called Why_not and will be on llamaserver.
Also don't forget to download the map (parganos with llama fix, there is a link in the presentation) and CBM 1.94 (you can find it on llama server mod section)

Lol well after playing around with LA Ctis I see i'm probably going to get my *** handed to me... They might be good on a huge map with lots of magic sites but I'm about to get owned haha

Its all good though, will make for a good warm up game to get back into Dom3

Slight change in the plans. Abysia is getting out of the competition. so we might go with 7 players to not drag the start of the game much longer. however, while we wait for the 2 last pretenders I am going to try to recruit a last person.

I think they are, at least I haven't set any option that would contradict this.

And I will set the delay to 30h now on, 24h is maybe a bit small.

I don't think the seas have magic sites. I think we are playing with the dead seas version which has the commands below in the map file."killfeatures" eliminates magic sites.

Hi,

Could I get an extension? There seems to be a problem with my mails or the llamaserver. I've send my turn in 3 times now but nothing is happening. When I look at the latest update time it says 18.56 gmt in all games so I think the llamaserver isn't updating anymore.

The delay as been reset to 48h. I think I am not going to change it back this time, 48h seems reasonable for now on.

I think our host may have gone awol? He has staled 3 turns in a row and is staling in another game also.

I'm going to take over duties until/if he returns. I'll have to ask llamabeast to provide info.

Well I survived Jotun and TC's attacks. I pretty much wiped out Acro's initial attacking army and now it looks like I'm going to get to wipe out Bogarus's army too... I'm sure as hell not going to win this but at least I'm having fun handing out a few arse woopings along the way ;)

C'tis: Nice job. And Arco's diplomat was already claiming your lands! Guess he should have talked to his army first.

Same here, on the road for 48hrs or so. No internet. Also It was aggressive diplomacy, if I fail then I fail, if I win then I had already set the precedence for claiming those lands.

Hehe, worry not. I've seen your communion. I've got 5 turns to mobilize, I have until you make it down a very narrow mountain range. I have time and magical diversity, I will stop you. Now that being said I'm confused at what you plan on accomplishing, I have great strategic depth and you are literally marching a circle around Caelum and Jomon; I don't know how you expect to hold that.

Well game theory, if I go in with an anti-undead communion then I'd probably do poorly against you after. Now if C'tis was in the center of the map then he'd probably be dead. I suppose we should include C'tis in these discussions.

Ctis was in the middle of Bogarus jotenhiem tc and Arco. Only two of those yet remain and yet Ctis keeps on chugging along hanging by a thread. Although I have done battle with and won at least temporarily vs all my neighbors despite my tiny size
