From what I understand the Gold Version of the game is be released or to be start mailing out around Feb. 15th, 2002, also the gold demo is on the site for download

Thanks. I'm aware of the 2/15 projected release date and I've downloaded the demo. Just wondering if the game went Gold yet.

Elmo, I believe it has, but you could ask Richard or Geo, they would know for sure,

Arak Koba, your going to get one .... of a game, probably the best space combat one out there with the most support. enjoy

Sorry, I think that "Gone Gold" means that the game is boxed and shipping, where "SEIV Gold" is an upgraded Version of the game with new fetures, etc.

I don't believe that SEIV Gold will go Gold until it starts shipping on or about the 15th. Does that help?

To me "gone Gold" means the master CD has been pressed and they are cranking out CD's and printing manuals. From the time a game has gone Gold until it is ready to ship is highly variable but is probably at least a two or three week lag. _If_ that is correct and _if_ SE IV Gold hasn't gone Gold yet then making the 15th of February to ship is getting to be problematic.

I had actually gotten an e-mail from Aaron Hall after I contacted Malfador.com letting me know that february 15th is still the projected date.

I would guess, since Shrapnel is publishing the game for direct Online ordering, and not for 'bulk' retail sale, once the gold master disc is complete it shouldn't take long to start shipping orders- they will probably just ship them hot off the presses. (excuse the cliche)

Oh, and I also contacted

and got a reply stating that information concerning SE4 Gold had slipped their attention. So there should be pertinent information showing up there soon.
