Gaah! Furby!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif

Now why do you have all those duplicate Geocities ads at the bottom? Shouldn't there only be 1 ad bar?

Also, the text on the Darkmists page is... well, dark http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif and a lot of stuff everywhere is misspelled...

Not trying to make fun of your website, just trying to help out http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Oh, and just curious... What in the WORLD does a low-res shot of Beavis and Butthead have to do with ADOM?!? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

Re: Webpages

Umm... I don't think this advertisement is appropriate in this forum Category. Maybe in the Runesword forum, but not Shrapnel General. This isn't an advertisement board.

C April 4th, 2003 07:15 PM

Re: Webpages

Well, that helps. The ADOM page needs to be updated (several pages need updating) I might work on that later, just needed a graphic to fill it in at the time.
I haven't updated some of those pages since 2001.
DarkMists I know I made some typos, have to fix that as well (made that in a rush). Furbies are a type of dragon in my game (fubus, cute, cuddly (yeah right!) and deadly as well.
BTW: Thanks! I need *any* comments on my page -/+ are welcome!

Furbys are a type of Dragon...

Riiight... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

You mean like in that one "Simpsons" episode? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

C April 5th, 2003 07:07 PM

Re: Webpages

Exactly... I watch alot of simpsons. I am going to update the site over the weekend.
Now about the misspellings, I am a BAD speller! I nearly study cacography, it doesn't help that my spellcheck doesn't work (old computer).

Re: Webpages

Cacography? What, writing with feces??? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Re: Webpages

Uhhh...No. Its the study of bad spelling (in dictionary someplace).
BTW:What's misspelled (give pages) It can't be the graphic links on the Darkmists page.

Re: Webpages

Just a style thing, but you don't seem to say what platform Darkmists will be for - I know it is for Runesword, but that is mostly just because I recognize the smoke graphic and have seen some of the typing you have done here on the forums. A visitor to your page might not know this, and unwittingly use up bandwidth on something the visitor can't use. You may want to consider labeling things a little more, perhaps grouping things by platform and requirements as a sub-heading under games.

Re: Webpages

The genre of game is a kind of a nice mix of rogue-likes (ADOM or D&D) and Sci-Fi (Star Wars with a bit of futuristic NetHack?) (The weapons will range from your average sythe or dirk to a laser gun or something,) and a bit of other (Animal people! Like that one movie I once watched started with a N?) Roleplaying in general, er, I need to fix everything on the site the day I have the chance (maybe Spring Break?)Now for PC platform its Windows (any) and a PC of somesort.

I think he meant game, and not platform.

Re: Webpages

Oh the game(s) (oops) Yeah, I'll fix it later (maybe even procrastinate, like that little orphan girl sings, 'tommow')
BTW: Uh, I got a star! Yea! that's better than having none.

Re: Webpages

I'm making small updates to my site (I added proposals to the DarkMists page), nothing big maybe HUGE updates to the jokes.

Re: Webpages

yo' C guess who followed you here? anyway I have plans for my own tome (asked for help! help me!).

now here's a few things that would help your site
* descriptions for games (downloads)
* what the DMI uses to run (hmm most people won't know that)
* stuff to prevent the kids in LG from stealing (some pages work)
* darkmist site needs more info

Re: Webpages

Alright, but there is one problem, I already know about those problems, what about the others?

BTW: Update *your* site

Fyron April 22nd, 2003 07:37 PM

Re: Webpages

This should probably be in the forum for the game in discussion...

Re: Webpages

(alta loma used to live around there) I though that this was more general, so how can I move in to the Runesword General (or whatever it belongs in)? (well this was about the webpage)

Fyron April 23rd, 2003 01:10 AM

Re: Webpages

Well you can't move it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif It doesn't really matter too much though. As long as some semblance of order is maintained. It just wouldn't be good if tons of discussions were held in places other than where the organization of the forum says they should be.

When did you used to live around Alta Loma?

C April 23rd, 2003 06:45 PM

Re: Webpages

Long time ago (I was like 4) but it was near Mira Loma ( I think) only for about 4 of 5 months and then we moved to fresno area, then to oklahoma, then to fresno, then to le grand Really I'm from the San Bernadino area, Loma Linda Area (everything loma.
Alright that was off subject!

(discurse) I haven't done very much of anything to my site on account of the libary's internet hasn't worked very well for about 1 month.

Re: Webpages
