The Links Topic
Over the Past year I have noticed many a good link from this Forum to sites worthy of bookmarking. The only problem is that they get lost as the days waste away.
I would like to set up this topic with the one purpose of becoming a libary for those places on the Internet that we find interesting. Examples would be science fiction and history sites. Also some rules should be placed. 1. Name of website 2. link 3. write a description of the link |

Here is a great sight..
The Five Minute Voyager http://3sygma.com/fiveminute/ This site is dedicated to ruducing 'program episodes' to short 5 min stories. The stories are infused with an abundance of humor and are great fun to read. The site also has other sci-fi programs that get the 5-min treatment. Enjoy! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif [ June 29, 2003, 12:22: Message edited by: David E. Gervais ] |

http://www.merzo.net/index.html This site has pictures of all sorts of starships drawn to scale, so you can easily see the size comparisons. There are ships from Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, and many others, as well as some real-live vehicles and buildings as reference. The ships can be dragged around on the screen. There are screens with scales 10 pixels per meter, 1 pixel per meter, 2 meters per pixel, 10 meters per pixel, 100 meters per pixel, and 2000 meters per pixel. |
