... I'd advise you NOT to get it off the internet.

Although you could likely find the game at various warez sites, downloading it is not an acceptable course of action.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Doesn't Shrapnel offer a UPS Next-day shipping option? I got my copy in THREE DAYS even though I didn't specify anything but normal shipping. So, the only thing making you wait is not ordering. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Guys, I think you maybe misunderstood him. I did at first as well. I don't thiknk he wants to download it from the internet. By "off the internet" I think he is asking if it available somewhere other than ordering it Online. Liek at a store he can walk into and pay for and take it home.

Unfortunately Shrapnel has not been able to get a deal with a software store that doesn't take an exorbitant amount of the margins.

Understood Geo: I was merely poking a bit at my fellow Richmonder (Midlothian is a suburb). java: ain't no place in Richmond that I know of....though Shrapnel is good about getting packages out..though I guess you know that since ya have SEIV "plain"...

Re: For the love of god....

I saw some comments here about the wait suggesting that it might be out of stock. I searched the stores in Seattle, Bellevue, a couple of malls but to no avail. So I bought mine by calling Chips N Bits and paid for 2nd day air to get it ASAP. Now it has been two weeks and I am deep into this great experience.

Re: For the love of god....

I wasn't suggesting d/l it as a warez copy.

I was wishing you could pay Online and d/l at least the main program Online and get the thing in the mail later.

I mean the demo has got to be basically the whole program right?? So why not just have a key or something that unlocks the demo once you've paid for it Online...

Well, so Cary is only 3 hours away huh??

hmmmm,

Ken

Re: For the love of god....

The whole program for SE:IV is too large to setup as a download.

If you are that close to us, just use the cheap standard UPS option, and you will have it in no time. You can order via check, money order, credit card.

Is there some reason you don't want to buy it Online?

Well, at the moment I don't have a credit card that's 'useable'. Hopefully, I will soon.

Javaslinger,
Go to the local Post Office and purchase a money order. That is how I paid for SE4plain Last year. Shrapnel makes it easy to do that. You put in the order on line and get an order number to put on the Money Order and everything works great. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Also most bank ATM cards these days work as a CC now. I use my ATM card to buy things Online all the time. Just make sure it has a Visa or Mastercard logo.

And yes we accept checks and money orders also.

Re: For the love of god....

Don't worry.. I'll be ordering very, very soon.

You just all promise me that there will be a strong Online gaming community like there used to be when I played a year ago!

I'm looking forward to playing some TCP/IP games...

Ken
