Win Some Free Space Empires Stuff!
 

Shrapnel Games and Malfador Machinations have generously offered to donate some valuable Space Empires merchandise to the Space Empires Play-By-Web service.

Starting today and continuing until Friday, July 19th, any donation of five dollars made to the Space Empires Play-By-Web service will entitle the donating individual to an entry into a prize drawing. Two lucky people will be selected and have their choice of either a gift certificate for a free copy of Space Empires IV Gold, or a free Space Empires IV mouse pad. Note that you will be entered into the drawing once for each five dollars you donate, so the more you give, the more chances you have to win!

Donations can be made at PBW via Paypal. In the past we have had a few people reluctant or unable to use Paypal for whatever reason. If this is you and you wish to donate, send us an email at admin@pbw.cc and we will give you an address where you can mail a donation. However, for the purposes of the drawing, any mailed donations must arrive before the end of the contest period on July 19th.

We appreciate greatly the support of Shrapnel, Malfador, and most importantly the loyal fans that make it possible to keep the SEIV PBW available for all and free of any user fees, subscription costs, or advertisements. We try hard to keep our overhead costs low, but the reality is that there are month to month costs involved in any sort of operation such as this. Your donations make it possible for us to offset these expenses. Without your generous support those costs would have to come out of the pockets of the Admin team members themselves.

The nice thing about these sticky Posts is it keeps the thread near the top of the forum. The bad thing is, I am not sure anybody reads them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Anyway, if you are reading this, there is one more week to get your name in the drawing. So far response has been very good. The donations received have allowed us to get caught up with our monthly expenses, although it would be nicer to get a couple months ahead on them too.

Ok, one more day!

The deadline to get entered in the drawing is Friday the 19th at Midnight EST. We probably won't have the drawing or announce the winner till Monday though. I am going to be out of town tomorrow and unavailable part of the weekend.

The names have been drawn and the winners notified. I am waiting to hear back from them before I give their names publicly. Some people like to remain anonymous.

Everyone that donated should have got at least an email from me saying the names had been drawn, even if you weren't selected. If you donated and didn't get that email, send me one please.

CNCRaymond was one of them. The other guy I am not sure what his handle is on Shrapnel and I don't want to just give his name out publicly.

Did you get my e-mail in response to winning? My I-net connection has been a little odd, until I just now moved the wireless transmitter, so I'm not sure my respose ever got out.

Just so you all know, I'll be asking for a copy of SE IV Gold so I can snare my brother into this game. Having kids, he cannot by such things for himself.

Richard was supposed to caontact you about the process for claiming your prize. It's donated by Shrapnel and they will be the ones actually sending it to you.
