files to send in case of error ?

I have a game that crash all the times after a BIG battle (Gold 1.67).
I need to know the name of the files to send to MM / any beta tester to know if this work with latest beta or still need to be fixed.

The file you need to send is the game_name.gam file.

Send it to MM (se4@malfador.com) in all cases.

If you want it checked out as well on the current beta you can send to me (email is my profile).

big battle must be the understatement of the year.
man, that battle is HUGE!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif !!
the problem I am having is that my computer is too slow http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif . I didn't even get to the end of battle to check if the error comes up, because it took over an hour even to simulate the first round (and still didn't finish). I had to abort that simulation. You must have a good system to play such a huge game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif .

not being much help here,
Rollo

If you put your view into an empty corner before you hit end turn, it goes much faster, since it doesn't draw the beam & bLast animations.

The enemy (AI)have a fleet of 378 ships. Mine is 289.
This crash (at end of battle), tactical or strategic.

In my computer the complete battle took over about 30min in strategic.
auto tactical around 5 hours.......

There is a line in settings.txt to create combat replay true or false. It's true by default. I wonder if the turns wouldn't generate much faster is this were set to false. Has anyone baselined this option to see if it makes a difference?

I don't have Gold, only have 1.49 and can't say that I have ever seen a AI with a fleet of over 100 ships. Was a change made in regards to how the AI handles fleets in Gold?

BTW - I have to agree that is one HUGE battle... over 500 ships, including 83 carriers? How many fighters are on those carriers? And a planet in the middle, I assume filled with weapon platforms? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">More likely too many launched at once; the survivors should only be a fraction of that number.
