P.S.-I am posting this in the open instead of a PM so that if anyone else would like to help, they will know how to do it.

I have sent a PM that lets him know how much his site means to the forums and the community and that many people would be willing to help him reconstruct it, me included.

What can I say? There will be another webserver for your work someday -- I'm sure of it. Keep making excellent ship sets, they can't take that away from you.

Atrocites, any help you need in getting your site back or setting up another, just ask, I'm not a modder and not that comp literate, but am willing to help.. keep up the shipsets

Great to see the community rally like this. Let me know if you'd like to start a petition to anglefire to bring the site back up. Damb shame they just drop you based on someone's request.

Like I said, thanks, but there really is nothing to worry about. That "thing" sent me copies off all the emeils he has sent out. He is a natural born jerk. I think he is from STGN, a star trek site that hosts one of the largest collections of jerks known to exsist. I promoted SEIV there and was flamed heavily for my ship sets. I think they enjoyed it, and I stopped posting. I think this guy is from there, and just wanted to keep things going. Thanks guys, but the site is not down. It is being fixed. I figured to kill two birds with one stone, and it has seemed to work. Now that this guy thinks my site is down, he will assume he has won, and move on. In a few days I will re-open the site.

Some of the letter this guy sent to Angelfire were, very odd.

I just got tired of listening to his crap.

You have my complete support. I use the Klingon and Romulan sets almost every game, and many of the others as well.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I wanted to say that I like the Romulan and Klingon shipsets as well. I often find it fun to play against just them. The ships are clean, well defined, and distinctive, while at the same time detailed and with some unique character. That is sometimes not the case with a shipset.

I almost wanted to say that they were a good adaptation of Star Trek, and it is true. It's just that saying that makes me sound like some lifeless loveless Trekie.

He's already threatened us with turning us into the SBA, and launching an Online campaign against us if we don't turn his account on in 24 hours.

I think that email alone proves that he needs to take some time to chill out.

Who is the SBA?

Realistically, he broke the rules of the forum, which was stated before you signed in an account. The Moderators have their complete rights in banning him and they have discretion in the range of the rules.

He can realistically do whatever he wants, but I don't think he will get much support, since fringe radicals are only a small number, and it takes the moderate majority to do anything substantial on the web.

This is good to know, I have always enjoyed your work and find it of very high calibar. They sure look 'Trek' to me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif . And as for MoW, I try not to get involved in flame wars (got sick of it on the DC Comics board) but I have to say only this. MoW, grow up. One day you will wake up and see yourself as you really are and there will be no one to talk to as you have alienated anyone who would respond. Chill out and enjoy life (and Atrocities sets, heck until an actual 'Borg' comes up to me and says 'Hey! thats not my ship!' they are Canon to me).

THe SBA? Doesn't he have to prove some sort of relationship with your company? What is he going to say, that he's a disgruntled teen who wants to see you investigated on a whim? God, just when I thought it couldn't get any worse....

They were mostly rants and threatening letters. You know, the type that some sick, under developed person might write when they are off their medication.

Mostly he complained about how I was not being "real" to star trek. How I had sold out, and how I should follow his vision. At first I tried to be nice, but it just got worse. Finally I had to tell him to stop emailing me. That was when he started posting here.

I am sorry guys. This guy was my problem, and I should have taken care of it without involving you. What he has done his is part my fault, and for that I apologize.

I hope that he will not come back, or that he will not cause any more problems. However, with people like this you never know, for they thrive on conflict. I think his name just about sums him up; ManOfWar. To me, his name means that he likes to fight.

He tried to send me a virus a few days ago, and that was not very nice. If it was intentional, and I feel it was, CRAP ** RICHARD! DO NOT OPEN ANY emails from afanofyours I don't recall the address, but the name is clear enough. Mow owns this account, and it was the one that he used to send me the virus.

I feel what he tried to do was horse ****, and I told him so. He posted the message on this forum. I did not expect him to do that, but in hindsight, I should have expected it.

Oh well, live and learn.
