Help Me Please
I did a search via google just now for Newageshipyards, and got several hits. Most were for my old site at (Screw you) Anglefire (dumbass).com
But this one, this one is in a language I am not familar with and would love a translation. http://www.bonusweb.cz/rozbal_diskus...71&vsechny_r=0 Quote:

Re: Help Me Please
That is chech. I can translate about 25% based on similiarity between russian and chech but not all words.

Re: Help Me Please
That look chech to me. Sorry, but i can provide no more help than that.
edit: oops, oleg is faster and more knowledgeable... guess that happens when you open multiple threads read them all first and than take ten minutes to answer http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif oh, and I never heard of any Lord Merlin Rollo [ September 23, 2002, 18:55: Message edited by: Rollo ] |

Sorry, you are all wrong.
I think I found the author: http://www.twinpines.nl/chef/English/index.htm Select the second-to Last link for the Language translator. [ September 25, 2002, 20:53: Message edited by: Stone Mill ] |

No meat balls for you.

Re: Help Me Please
Its obviously some language from the russian region but its not russian and not ukrainian. I still can understand about 50% of the written. First it points out to "Romulan Empire", and Lord Merlin used to visit on old SE.org forums and i *think* on old Ladder and Ora forums, too.
From the general text i can presume it is kind of advertisement for SE4 - he's saying to go to the home site of the game or to the thread with the Important Links. Says this game is great strategy and stuff. |
Re: Help Me Please
It surely seems czech.
It says something like: Hello people! Ever played strategy on www? Something like reddragon with cosmic map, different races, inventions, battles, diplomacy, spies? The game never has been brought to us but you may see it on the producer's address www.malfador.com. They send it abroad for the price around 1800 Kc. It is sold with the extension GOLD with some additions and new races. Without problems you may play for *Spojen* federation or Romulan imperium. Successful *?something?* strategy. This is unanimously the best and the most worked out game, I play it for quite long but still come back to it... The races from Star Trek are here: (angelfire url) The most famous MODS on SE4G are in this thread: (shrapnelgames url) --------- and nope I don't know Lord Merlin http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif |
Re: Help Me Please
Hmm... I've checked (Czech, hehe... get it) that link, but it leads to a near useless program. It will let you search for one word at a time. And the database is VERY limited. Nicely found, but very useless unfortunately. Do you have any other programs for translating letters? I'm searching for a English to Polish translator (and vice versa of course). Anyone happen to know one?
|
Re: Help Me Please
Timstone,
It may be "useless" to for this instance but surely an engineer could see other uses for the program itself. |
Re: Help Me Please
Hahaha, yes there are some uses. For example. The program is perfect for learning words. There's a function to display words with a fixed interval. In that interval you can type that word. That is great, isn't it? But futher than that, no, it isn't usefull for me. Not enough anyway.

Re: Help Me Please
Have you tried: http://babelfish.altavista.com/
hmmm.. No luck. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif I thought that the Russian translation might work. [ September 26, 2002, 18:41: Message edited by: Perrin ] |
Re: Help Me Please
No, no luck indeed. I've already tried that one too.
Well thanks anyway. You seem to be the only one with an answer. Thanks! |

Sort relevant to this topic:
http://www.freelang.net/ Has a small free Dictionary program. It then has about 120 language moduals, (also free) Download the main program Donload the Moduals. They seem to be designed for practicing vocabulary. There are also fonts available I have no idea if this will assist here. Edit: It does have a: CZECH English (9 aug 2002) Tranlator. You can also create your own Dictonary such as a SEIV Acranym Database: CSM = Capital Ship Miscle [ September 26, 2002, 12:51: Message edited by: Gryphin ] |

When in doubt, IT IS FRENCH!

Re: Help Me Please
Haha... you Americans can't seem to see the difference between my language (Dutch), Czech and French. Well I don't blame you for it (afterall you are the scum deported out of Europe http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ), but at least you could try to understand it and see the difference.

Re: Help Me Please
Huh? Sound whooping? You whooped the Germans, not the Dutch. America and Holland have never been enemies. Thank the galaxy for that, we would be wiped out in a second with our measely excuse of and army.
Hey, I didn't mean anything by it. I just wanted to bring up a previous statement in this (?) thread. You guys just take everything far too serious. Look at the message icon, it implies that I didn't meant it as critisism. Tjeez... |
Re: Help Me Please
Oh, sorry. In Dutch heart = hart.
