I see you guys got down to 3°C today...hmm...looks like snow soon...ha ha ha...seriously I hear your area is in for milder temperatures and less precipitation this winter...so it'll only be -30°C with 2 metres of snow.

Edit: Actually, there, since I live in Montreal now... A Lot milder and more humid.

How big is Calgary anyway? I know they had the Olympics a few years ago. But I don't hear about it much other than that.

The reason I ask is it seems kind of a wierd coincidence that we have three regulars on the forum, one that lives there, one that just moved there, and one that just moved away. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Isnt the biggest city in the country, but the biggest in the province.

Re: OT: Calgary weather

Calgary is about 900,000 people in the metro area, just a tad behind Edmonton.

TerranC > Umm, you do realize that Montreal gets a hell of a lot of snow too, right?

WOOPS!

Actually, Calgary has gone to 951,000 just a tad more than Edmonton's 937,000 according to the Last census in 2001!!! He He He, Toronto's at just about 4.7M!!! That's more than half of the provinces have in Canada!!!

TerranC, you should try living in Winnipeg! Although Edmonton is about 300 kilometers closer to the Arctic circle that Winnipeg (and Calgary http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif ), yet generally our winters are generally milder than Winnipeg (and the summers cooler).

Well, the white stuff is coming down again this morning, so here I sit in front of the computer hoping it will keep up all day so I can stay home again... but the guilt, the guilt! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Yes, Calgary is a pretty good sized city and the centre of Canada's oil industry. The city is growing at an alarming rate and shows no sign of slowing. ... Unless they ratify Kyoto. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

I can finally walk the dog at night without sweating.

I guess you Canadian snow birds will be coming down here for the winter soon.

Man, it's getting cold in my area. And I hate it all. I cannot stand the cold for nothing. I'd rather sweat then freeze. I don't like 90s... I like it in the 70s or 60s but this 40 shiznit is terrible. And it's only fall......
