Hit the Empire Status button (the Crown). Then hit Empire Options. There are options to turn those (and many other things) on or off in there.

Re: grids

Once you are in the game, go to the filemenu button (Top left, checklist icon)

Down in the options section, you should find waht you're looking for.

Either that, or it is in your empire (crown icon) window, under empire options.

Oh, yeah, she's a really creepy girl! Well, she's not really a girl, she's some sort of undead horror that's taken human form. Scary!

I usually don't go see horror-type movies, because either (A) it's badly done, and then the movie is not scary and it's just stupid, or (B) it's well done, and it IS scary, and then I have trouble sleeping and I have nightmares!

However, a friend dragged me off to see The Ring the other day. This movie is one of the scary ones.

Re: grids

It is an eclipse.

i enjoyed the ring, it went back to the old style of horror. it showed shadows and movement but nothing really substantial until the end. it reminded me of ALIEN in that aspect. the scarriest thing they can do to you is let your imagination fill in the blanks from your own nightmares.

a friend and i went to see it and we were the oldest people there. no one else there could have been over 20. when the first girl died all the young ladies in the audience screamed at once. (I couldnt help but laugh at that, needless to say the others around me looked at me kind of strangely)

Yeah, there has been parts of a scary movie I would laugh at, and people would look at me like I was some kind of sick bastard that enjoyed seeing people jump or get killed. But ya know, it's rather amusing to see those people do just that.

I've been wondering about that. In the final scene where you see the dead guy, a LOT of people in the theatre laughed, and I didn't understand why. I kept wondering if I blinked and missed something that everybody else saw... but I guess there was nothing funny there that I missed, after all.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">it is amusing from time to time. in this case though i was actually laughing at the fact that they all screamed in unison.

In fact I did that when we saw Signs. These chicks in front and behind of us screaming all at the same time and me and my friends just started laughing, and we could hear them talking about us after that.

Re: grids

In my opinion, Signs wasn't that great. I can't imagine that an advanced alien race capable of traveling to earth will be so weak that they can be locked up in a kitchen by a farmer, or be defeated by splashing water on them. It wasn't very scary, either. The Ring was a much scarier movie, and a better story, too.
