Ive noticed that a great deal of people have unique and good signatures. Others well... I dunno.

well, mine is a total out of context quote from a dead author that I enjoy. For general use, I recommend bad one-liners.

I made it up a long time ago, when I was on a 300 baud BBS thing. For a character in a game.
Then I looked it up in an encyclopedia (its really a word! I didnt know!)
But anyhow, I made it up at first, and then found out it was a word

Instar, that is why I asked. I wanted to know what "you" meant. What was/is the character "Instar" like? I was pretty sure you were not thinking of yourself as an arthropod. But I wanted to be sure.

Don't you miss those wonderous days of 300 baud? My computer experiences go back even further than that!

Well, the character "Instar" I had in mind was smart strong and powerful. Like a battlemage or an honorable warrior person, pehaps a paladin of righteousness, but grittier than pure good.

I personally like the second image. Do you do any grafics? If not I could clean that one up. If you want! Before, you have it put under glass!

As to the signature, how about an image of you super warrior-paladin? Not your avatar. A really nice 3D image, maybe 1200x800.

Well, the second image is undoubtedly better looking, as its from a XBox game, but the first one is Doom1! Its nostalgia! It even looks like me (the real me, a little bit)
I dont have any graphics programs at all. So go ahead and edit them
I have bigger pics available for sources for both of them
as for the image sig, a warrior paladin type pic would be neato burrito, but I dont like having really large images part of my signature, as people with 56ks or slower load them very slowly
I would like to combine a ninja, with MasterChief from halo, and a paladin all in one to form the ultimate fighting machine

An any images you want you can email me. And I will start to work on them.

I will email you more images. That was just to give you an idea, of what I meant. Then you can decided which if any of them you want people to see.

I used to have "Are you pondering what I'm pondering quotes" from PInky and the Brain. I'd change them every so often, but soon got bored.

You could simply go for "my growth is astonishing" or some such.

And there's always the SE4 code (see my sig for that one)...

I just poped in and browsed this thread and caught a few Posts about the good old days of 300 baud modems... aaaah my eyes glazed over and I flashed back to the very first file I downloaded from a BBS.. a musical tune called 'Passionately' that ran on my old Atari800 computer. A while back I found the file on one of those retrogamming sites and booted up an atari emulator and played it again for the first time,.. sweet and catchy tune. I liked it so much I captured the sound and created an mp3 of it. Your glowing eyes staring out at the future that quickly joins you in the past. Taking pride in knowing that Doom is the father of all 3D shooters..} Ok, a little thick, but fun no?

When Doom came out, I was the resident deathmatch champion where I worked. In one massive weekend- long marathon of Doom-Deathmatch play, I came out on top with 3201 Total kills, my nearest competitor had 621 kills. I never killed from the same place twice in a row and never hovered at the entrence point. That was great fun!

Holy crap 3201 kills is insane... have you seen the shots for Doom 3? I want to cream my pants every time. I hope my spiffy GF4 Ti can run it!
Im a good FPS player, but 100 is hard enough! let alone 3200!
Then again, I never kept count. I am the master of UT2k3 so I guess I have a ton of kills.

I got a Doom emulator and the wads... played them all over again, just for fun
Heck Id venture into saying the Doom is in part one reason for the ultimate success of PC games!

on one forum I was able to get a script to run a variety of quotes, but that wont work here
It was neato burrito, I had like 40 quotes all randomly chosen each time

For now, Instar, have you played Doom2GL? its a rework of doom 2. same game, quake-1-2 style graphics. nice.

Ive gotten the emulator that allows importing mdl files. Its pretty good and yeah, Ive played every single Version of Doom
Never made any wads for it though
