PBW Status

Lazarus was able to get the server working again by restoring the code using an old set of backup files. These may or may not have all the most recent feture updates, so it is possible that we still have some kinks to work out. The server though is up and does not appear to be spamming indiscriminantly any longer.

Please pay close attention and report any bugs either here or in the PBW bug reports forum.

The server should be safe to use at this time. We will however be continuing work over the next few days to make sure everyhting is running at 100%. I am also likely to take the server down for a few hours at some point to do a thorough backup. If I do take it offline I will post something in this forum about it.

Geo, something's wrong with the game Space 3. Admin is trying to execute a turn manually but it fails.
"[ERROR] Execution of next turn failed"
Should he keep on trying or there is something wrong?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That has nothing to do with PBW. There is either someting wrong with the game or the mod. We have given the game owner some suggestions about it already.

Well, I did note that the Last news item is missing - even though it was dated September 16, long before the crash occurred http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

Server's fine. The ISP took a nap this morning. But it's back now so you should be able to get in now. Let me know if you still can't.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Ok. That makes sense. You are correct. The workaround is to mark them dead, then go to the game admin screen and hit the "update options" button.

We'll get that fixed agian.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes there is, and yes it is. Games will run when all players upload, or when the game owner hits the "execute the next turn" button from the game admin screen. Once we feel confident of the reliability of th eserver we will turn the automatic processing back on.

Tks, geo, for clarifying why Arch runs automatically and Slugfest 12 does not.

Ok, gonna take it down for a while this evening to see if I can get those previous bug fixes operational again. Not right this minute. Giving you a few hours warning this time. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Hey Geo, I go to try to boot a couple players from the game I'm hosting and I get a 500 Error. Just thought I'd let you know so if it's a bug you can fix it when you take the server offline tonight. Thanks.

Re: PBW Status

Rags, what game? Is it happening every time or is that an intermittant thing? DOes it boot the player but then gives you an error trying to take you back to game info, or is it not bootin them?

Whoops sorry, I was going to give more detail but got distracted.
The game is Return to Hell. And it will not boot them at all. I go to kick player and it asks if I'm sure I want to, I press yes and then the bottom frame goes to a 500 error. Here is what the error says:

Error: 500

Internal Servlet Error:

It does it everytime I try to boot them. I've tried a few different times now.
