I tried using the link to one of KDY's articles that I posted in another thread. It came back with the netscape White Screen of Death. I think KDY is down. Hopefully not for long...

I didn't get an answer from Rimfire yet.
ISTR that his email was not the one listed in the page that is shown now. Does anyone remembers the right one?
I can login with an FTP program and it shows all files are there. The problem is some configuration in the server.

I wanted to have a look on the gold Version AI files changes, and ... no site ! It's annoying...

The site doesn't work. It is going to the root index of the server, and not to the kuat drives subdomain.

No news. If I can't contact Rimfire to get him to fix the server I'll have to think about moving it into another host.

Nope.
Unfortunately I know very little about Rimfire.
I only know he offered to host my site in his server.
I've not idea of where to find him, or another way to contact him besides emails that he doesn´t seem to be getting.

I know this been asked recently, but is there a free host you can recommend?
Is there someone with experience in web design that would like to help me renew the site?

www.spaceports.com is one of the best free web hosts out there. Also, you can get the ad banner removed for only $20 a year, which is very cheap for what they give you.

I would be willing to help you get the site back on-line.

Are you still moving it over? Because a lot of the race links are not working. It appears that whole race directories are not accessible or not there. As of right now the following ARE working: Niridian, Cephalopeian, Nostropholean, Y'Gathian, Galaga, Infernal, Eridani, Ghizrea, Zeta Reticuli, Viral, Chillian, Dragon, Box. All the other race links are not working. Permisssions Maybe?

Hope this helps, wonderful races and a wonderful site.

I suppose you keep all the existing races in their old directory ? so I'll just have to change the domain name on the race dir for your links ?

Yes, trooper the directories should be the same so replacing only the domain should work.
BTW please update the Dragons and add the Box to the race list.
I'll upload the remaining races and other stuff ASAP.

I've updated all KWD links in the racedir. I saw that some race links don't work at the moment (sharlon, craw, SEIII race list...), you'll have to check that indeed.

Also added dragons and box, Great work done on this two sets, especialy the dragons, like it very much.

PS : Perhaps you will be able to send me the COMWEALTH and CUCKLEHEED races if you have some free time left http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif , still searching those two ones...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I was able to find the cuckleheed on PBW if that helps. I still don't have Turian (comwealth) or Galactic Command or Lyosian either, though. These are all ZeroAddun. The Pyrids (which I have not found) and which you have no author for are also his.

Also, I'm assuming you know the USY(old) links do not work. I did manage to find most those races if you want them. You have AOL listed, but where is AOD? I also have some others (from PBW I think) that are not listed: Juprup, Keelan?

I couldn't find the Sol Coalition or Bob from your links (seems TerranC edited away the file links, why I am not sure). They are on PBW though. Pathfinder updated the Vorlon set, its in the mod download section. Zanthu Federation is by Darkshado.

Have you thought about hosting the Last of the SGIF(old section) ones. Fractal, Flash, Ming, etc?

Did you update the Kuat link on the sotas link page as well?

It looks like if Rimfire has fixed the old site, I never got a reply by mail though, so my guess is that he's found and corrected the error by himself.

Now I have the spaceports "mirror" that I've updated recently but has only half of the files and the cyberwars site that needs to be updated. The old geocities site is should be out there too.

My avatar that was on cyberwars and I've never bothered changing works again.
