First the Huron, now these. Why do you torment us with these titilating previews and not follow through with them? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

Yes, yes, they're great. So what must we do to get you to finish them?!?

If they don't have a name yet, I nominate "Alkari" in honor of the friendly bird guys from MOO1/2...

Then again, blue doesn't quite seem the Alkari's color...

Re: New Ships

Nothing wrong with honoring the "Akari" from MOO series!

The designs are looking really great. If I had to offer any suggestions, it would be on a personal preference. And that is to use a darker more gunmetal kind of blue. Might look good with the orange and yellow highlights.

But that's just a personal preference...I like "my" ships looking kinda mean.

Good job on the design, though. First thought in my mind was "batlike".

Re: New Ships

Is it possible to adjust the wings so they are slanted either above or below the ship's horizontal axis? I think that might look cool.

I also think you need something in the central area of the two larger ships to detract them from looking too much like WWII fighters.

I also recommend a dark green texture (similiar to your Hirogen ships) as I think they would suit the whole 'avian' race concept better. Perhaps a texture that has a small 'feather' texture imprinted on it?

Just some constructive criticism, but good start and keep up the hard work!

Kinda look like rays to me...looks to be another nice set on the way. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif If it takes on an avian flavor, I also agree w/ MoO's Alkari.

Re: New Ships

Thanks for the comments guys, but the race is not a bird race. Although, it could become one.

Thanks for the suggestions and feed back.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">No, there was this wierd dusty old man with a long beard and a sarcastic bird (kind of like a peacock) sitting on his head. It might have been attached to his head, actually. Or maybe it was a hat..?
