HTML code in sig, Possible?

Can I change the font size and color in the sig?
when I enter HTML code it is automaticly removed...
It bugs me that my Yoda line runs over two lines on some resolutions.

Ahh,
Signatures can appear at the bottom of your Posts. This option may be disabled by the message board administrators at any time, however. You may use UBB Code in your signature, but not HTML. UBBCode Images are permitted.

Now I understand!

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

If you were to invest in an extra <enter> after each line, the quote would be grouped well enough that people wouldn't get confused.

Now I'm just testing.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to do color that way:

From ubb code page
All current UBB Code options are listed below.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You might try a bulleted list.

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

Yep, migh try that.

Ruatha June 20th, 2003 10:22 PM

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

And again, then I might accidently delete some of the sig.

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

Oh, but I need to mention - there's a bug in the bulleted lists - the first item in the list sometimes goes away:

</font>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">One </font>
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Two
    </font>
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Was produced by

Zero

One

Two
Hmm, there could be situations where that's useful, couldn't there? http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk.../FIREdevil.gif

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

It seems that when trying a bulleted list the darned thing deletes the first item in the list. So after checking and then updating again it deletes the next item in the list and so on.
Arghh.

EDIT: Hmm, and now you tell me!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Guess, I'll skip that bulleted list.
The problem with the long Yoda line is fixed http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

FYI: editing an old post, even if you don't actually change anything, will immediately update your signiture.

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

Good, that will save me some useless Posts in the future!

I might make a picture for every link, the way I want it and then use the picture of the formatted text instead of text.
Something like this:
http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newup...1056142583.jpg
That ought to work.
But not tonight.

Doing some stuff:
<font color=white><font size=1>
Newbie Galactic combat II Story Thread </Font color></Font size>

<font color=#E6E8FA><font size=1>
Newbie Galactic combat III Story Thread </Font color></Font size>

<font color=#D9D9F3><font size=1>
Space Empires 4 Frequently Asked Questions</Font color></Font size>

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

Yes, but what happens when you are on the other forum background color?

Ruatha June 20th, 2003 11:26 PM

Re: HTML code in sig, Possible?

Darned, didn't think of that!

I can make the background transparent.
I'll do that another day though.

In the meantime, making sure your Posts end up on the dark green will fix that.

Oops. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
