Olympic SE Challenge Graphic

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newup...1057345359.jpg

Well, Just playing around. Thought I'd tinker with Lithuania first. But this is sort of what I had in mind for each participant to put in their signature while they are representing their country. So when you posted, people would know.

It may be a bit too tall but it's only 18k. I'm not a great designer (and borrowed a border similar to David E. Gervais' great icon collection). Now that I mention it (without trying to put David on the spot... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif ), he could probably do better and might even like to do it for everyone.

Of course, this message and graphic assumes that anyone at all is interested.

Perhaps I should just apologize for butting in... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

That is a little large IMO... I would hate to see Shrapnel be cluttered with excessive images as happens to some other forums...

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree...but for the sake of enthusiasm, would 10k be too much? (IYHO, of course... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ) Bear in mind, there may not be any interest anyway.

10k should be fine. But remember there are many of use who gave up our over priced cable connection for the blissful slowness of Earthlink dial up. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung...smiley-004.gif

We need more smiles for this forum!!!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I used to have over-priced DIAL-UP with Mindspring (aka, Earthlink). $22 a month. Had two accounts so wifey could be on at same time. Add another telephone line. Add another account. $44 + $30. Dropped them like a dry booger and got cable for $39. Dropped the extra telephone line. Spent $99 for router (with NAT). Now, mucho speed and about half the price and everyone in the house is on the network.

Of course, I'd still do it just for me.

I was not talking about file size, but about space taken on the screen.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thought you were worried about size (in KB). As I said, I thought it could be "lowered" and made more narrow. And pulled in from the sides a bit. I just thought, perhaps mistakenly so, that people might like to "wave their country's flag" while participating.

Since it hasn't seemed to garner much enthusiasm, I suspect it will die a slow death anyway.

No biggie.

If you make one for the GM I'll wear it.
I'd say keep it to 10 x 30 pixles.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">No way, 10 x 30. Not for all the work the GM has to do. Besides, you're one of the guys who ALWAYS helps games out.

Well, not "always", My involvment in this game was because of the need for a "neutral" GM and I feel I am neutral due to my over all makeup, lack of partisipation in PBW, and my very neutral position in world politics.
I am prepared to die on the metaphorical beaches of my country to defend her. I am not prepared to sacrafice my personal integrity for some number on some harddrive linked to a game that less than 1 in 500,000 Americans know about.
(I have no idea what the real number is but it sounded good to me)
