PBW Game Idea - Husband&Wives

Would anyone be intested in a PBW Game where pre-arranged teams of Husband and Wife (or couples) play against other H&Ws???

We would only need 4 teams to make an 8 people PBW game. Probibly with a 7 day turn around.

It would mean you would have to share the computer with your better half, but I can think of some benifits? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

Just an idea at this stage to see if they are any takers?

Man I'm going on 24 years. No way am I going to play a long game of SE4 with her as an ally. You take her. As Rodney says "Take my wife, please!"

I'd be ruined from the start. j/k http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

My wife doesn't play SE4 and she wants it to stay that way.

Re: PBW Game Idea - Husband&Wives

After a few turns, my wife would be extorting cash from me, in return for her continued support
in the game. Then she would want to do it her way just because it looked nice. After that she
would never ever glass a planet, it would be just too cruel. Not to mention that there might be
some homeless cats on said planet. Then she would realize that there are no cats in the game.
She would then proceed to send off a barrage of email to every addy in outlook, demanding fair
and equal treatment of cats. Me, well by then I would just be lurking around with a new
persona.

Re: PBW Game Idea - Husband&Wives

Oh, she gave the game an honest try, but lost interest. I think she looked in "one hand" and saw SE IV then looked in the "other hand" and saw Mechwarrior IV on MSN Gaming Zone and decided any free time she had for computer gaming would go to the Gaming Zone since it was MUCH more exciting to her.

So......that was THAT !

Yah, I've got the opposite problem. My wife got a little too happy about napalming planets... left nothing but a universe full of very large glass marbles http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I'd rather take 'em intact thank you very much.

At first she played SEiv non-stop. Fortunately she's very intelligent and found the AI not challenging enough. She got bored and let me have the computer back http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I could talk my wife into this, but being a workaholic she'd probably miss several turns, then find a way to prove it was all my fault.

So Thermo, how many cats do you own ?

Thermo : We're almost even, then, we have 6 cats here. I like cats but I had to have a talk with my wife or she would still be bringing them home.

Slynky : I agree. In fact, two of our cats have this ongoing argument about which one owns us. But asking someone 'how many cats own you' doesn't sound polite.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I have talked, yelled, argued, and even taken some on long trips. Some by car and some by
faster means. Now when I see a new stray, I give it a good home in the compost pit. The woman can't make do with one of anything! I hope she starts collecting husbands soon, that way at least I can spread around the cost of keeping her in cat food http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Did you know that you can punt a cat just like a football (American type you soccer folks).

God so loved his people that He created cats as moving targets. This keeps the male hunter skills sharp. Cats were created with nine lives so that they can be recycled for a while to cut down on the numbers. After you have bLasted one eight or nine times, they slow down and are no longer quite so useful as moving targets.

I got home today and one of the cats had thrown up in five different places around the house. Yuck. Serves me right for liking them. If the vet tells us to put her on a special diet, we'll probably have to give her away, cat food is way too expensive as is, but special cat food is unbelievable.

Thermo, let send a picture of my poor little sick cat to your wife, I'm sure she'll find a home for her. http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies...s/azzangel.gif

Taera, don't add me to the mix, I like cats. Besides, I really, really, really hate cockroaches (not other insects, mind you) and the cats kind of take care of that. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I could live with one cat just fine. Not much to feed and not a lot to clean up after. But this damn zoo we have is out of controll. And my wife thinks that they are our kids. The cats eat $2 a can cat food and I get rice! One of these days, one of these days.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yeah, well besides the sound of a cat heaving a gooky hairball, the sounds they can be responsible for don't get much better than listening to the crunching sound a cockroach makes when a cat eats one http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif .
