New Neo-Standard Star Trek Sets Available
 

For all of you who have been pestering me to do this:

I have just finished uploading the new Neo-Standard Star Trek sets to the NASY Neo-Standard page.

The following sets are now Neo Standard compliant

Species 8472
Borg - Complete with new textures
Breen - Complete with long awaited new textures
Cardassians
Dominion - With new color and new ships
Ferengi - All new textures and color

You will be able to download the full sets, or just the neo standard add ons for each set.

I recommend downloading the full sets.

I really like how the new color & textures came out on the Ferengi. I do not have a preview page for them, but ALL races have an html viewer included.

Now that the sets have been downloaded a bunch of times, does any one care to give some feed back? Are the new ships worth the download time?

Very nice ships.

The pictures under "Worldship" look more like large transports than planet-sized mobile bases, though.

Something you don't dock with; you get a parking orbit assigned instead.

Those are some really nice looking ships PCP. The worlds ships all need to look like deathstars though. But still they look good.

Do you play any mods that use Neostandard sets?

I have to admit the worldships do look more like transports. But the new borg textures rock and the new dominion ships are looking pretty fine. I'm still in neutral over the new ferengi textures but i'm sure i'll warm to them, The breen are looking exceptionally nice to. havn't got time to download the rest but i'll try sometime tonight. Out of curiosity what are you going to do for a neo standard Federation set? Are you going to find new models, just combine the current sets together or are you going to use those cool doga ships you made? Either one and i'll be happy! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

Thank you all for the feed back.

I am going to cross match the Federation ship sets, add new images if I can, and possibally make new images for ships like the Barge, resource base, resource ship, and world ship.

The klingons/Romulans will have a few custom images and ships added.

The Vulcans will more than likely be completely redone with all new ships. This will take time though.

The Son'a, Kazon, Gorn, Andorian, and Hirogen sets will be worked on as I get time.

The UCP / TMP sets will be much like those used in the Federation set.

The TOS set will not be made into neo-standard. This set has not been downloaded in great numbers in a horribly long time.

The Andorian set is also being remade with new textures and such. The Gorn set will be touched up a bit.

I hate the Kazon set utterly. It will more than likely be my Last project for the neo Standard trek sets.

Any one ever here of the Tzenkethi? (Pronounced Zen Keth ie)
