Possibly Stupid Question...but~~~

Playing against the computer...starting up a new game...

"Computer Player Difficulty" (Low, Medium High)

Ok...so I set "High" does that mean "I'm playing against the computer and I want the computer intelligence to be high against ME?"....or...

Does it mean that I'm making it HARD for the computer AI -- easier for me?

I just want a game where the computer has a small advantage against me from the beginning....

Thanks in advance for quick answers...

Basically; the AI’s are pretty stupid even on high difficulty, relying on force rather than finesse. It is better to adjust the difficulty of the game by adjusting the AI’s bonuses.
IIRC: Low = X2 (to production and construction), Medium = X3 and High = X5.

With the new TDM’s, there should be plenty of challenge on the higher bonuses for everyone. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

No, you are making things more difficult for yourself by setting the computer difficulty to high.

If I remember rightly, setting it to high ensures that the AI uses all of its ministers, not just some of them as it does on lower settings. I think.

Changing the bonus setting gives thew AI players production bonuses and such.
