Hey na, hey na, my power\'s back!

If, for some reason, my PBW turns don't get in and/or don't get processed (Highliner shakedown), you'll know that Isabel has knocked out power in the DC area. FYI.

EDIT - I just walked into a dark and empty office. They decided to close my agency w/o announcing it before hand. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif

Yep 150 miles round trip. Takes 1h10m on a good day. 1h40m on a normal day. And too damn many hours to count on a bad day http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif

It gives car pooling a new level of importance. If I drop the wife off down town, we use her car @30>35mpg. If I ditch the grand tour of down town Baltimore and drive myself then I have a choice of the K1500 @14>16mpg or the SS at about 20mpg

Most of the trip is on US 70 and usually at 80 to 90 mph.(Very cool in the SS http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif ) It's the back roads from 70 to my home that are the worst part of the trip. The traffic in Baltimore is usually not that bad.

I can sympathise, Thermo. I used to commute 60+60 miles a day, and it sucked. Well, it did when I was driving. Then I got involved in a car pool and that improved things slightly, I could sit in the back get 2 hours a day se4 time on my laptop=-)

Or sleep... Sleep was good.

Same here. If my turns dont show up, it may be do to the fact that I have no power. I posted in all of my PBW game forums too.

My job is open but no one is here except some of the MIS staff. I think I'll cut for home about 11am, it a 75 mile trip and unfortunatly it will be right back into the path of the storm.
