OT(?): Hermit Crabs and SE4 in the dark.
 

I recently acquired some pet hermit crabs. Being nocturnal animals they come out at night if all the lights are out. Thus I have taken to playing SE4 in the dark so I can watch the (not so)little buggers play.

Is it just me or do the game graphics look much better when the rest of the room is dark.

I think they look much better. The stars in the background come out and look starry and the planets look somehow better and brighter and more alive.

Maybe it's just me.

Oh yeah, my son and I always turn off the lights to play Space Empires. Game looks *much* better that way, although one has to be careful with the typing when naming ships, etc.

I'll have to try that. I hope it's not bad for the eyes to stare at a monitor in the dark, though.

Don't bright lights, monitor/television, in the dark cause your night-sight to fade faster than it normally would?
