What's so bad about being a teenager? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif I'm 16, and that seems just fine for now. (Though I sure as hell wouldn't want to be 16 forever http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif )

Re: OT - I\'m not a teenager anymore!
If I could go back and relive my teenage years, and could only know one thing I know now, I would want to know how little all the things I worried about back then ended up mattering.
High School Grades: nothing Regard of my Peers: nothing Youthful Dignity: nothing The 'Right' Friends: nothing Escapist Comfort: nothing Near Limitless Potential in an Environment of Minimal Accountability: Priceless Of course, I've got a hell of a lot ahead of me now. I still have at least half my life ahead of me (bunk genes), and I'm pretty sure it's the good part. But, you who are past 'youth', would you want to go back? Do it again, differently? If you could only take one bit of knowledge with you what would it be? [edit: oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ED!!!! forgot that part.] [ October 08, 2003, 02:00: Message edited by: Loser ] |
