Oh, fiddlesticks!

I'm sitting here, my alarm clock reads 6:15 - and my computer clock reads 5:15.

Guess what dummy forgot to turn his clock back for that extra hours' sleep? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/blush.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif

That's nothing. Once when I was a kid, I set the clocks back one hour when you were supposed to go forward. When the alarms for church went off, that was the beginning of a rotten Sunday for the whole family.

There is something odd here. UK changed time to winter. Why this board (zulu time) has not http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif

I wish I could have turned my two year old's clock back by an hour. He got up at the normal time for him, which was around 7:30, but this time, the clock was reading 6:30. Aargh! so much for that extra hour's sleep.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Isn't Zulu time by it's definition not to change? IIRC all other time zones based their delta off "Zulu"....

That's right, GMT or Zulu time does not change, it's the same all over the planet. With half the world in night at any particular time, and the southern hemisphere heading into summer, changing GMT wouldn't save any daylight anyway. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Daylight saving time has it's advantages:
My birthday was one hour longer this year http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Our clocks got turned one hour forward, so we lost an hour on Saturday night. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif (Saturday the 18th). Now we are 2 hours behind the UK and 3 ahead of the US East Coast.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 12:12 PM.
