Abilities on Seeking Weapons
 
Just wonder if anyone has tried modding abilities onto seeking weapons? I was hopping I'd be able to create missle with some ECM defense by adding the "combat Defense Plus" ability but it did not seem to work. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif Anyone know if any other abilites will work on a seeker?

For making missiles tougher, you are pretty much limited to changing its speed and hitpoints (resistance).

Seekers are tricky, any mounts made only affect the launcher (and not the seeker itself, so no extra damage or range, etc). But, you can go into the components.txt and make an entirely new seeker that has different damage types (ie, destroy only engines, weapons, boarding parties, security parties, etc).

As for other weapons and new abilities just use your imagination, I once had a Robo-Miner/Laser, worked as a Last ditch weapon in combat but was a fairly effective Robo-Miner otherwise.
