Remember SE 2?

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could buy the full Version of SE 2 from Malfador. I know you can get it when you buy the full Version of SE 3, but unfortunately, I've already bought SE 3, and don't feel like buying it again just to get SE 2. (I chose the code email option when I bought SE 3, not the compilation CD with 2 and 3 on it) I also know SE 2 is no longer sold as a separate game.

I found SE 2 a few years ago, and that was how I became hooked on the entire Space Empires series. I really enjoy playing a game of SE 2 every once in a while, but the demo is rather limited.

Anyone have any ideas? Any would be appreciated.

I think I can safely say at leat 80% of us were introduced into SE via SE II.

Its a great game. You can only get it from the compilation CD, now, though.

But you also get SE I, which is freeware and can be found here on the Boards somewhere.

I guess I'll just have to suffer through playing SE 4 and Starfury!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I played SE2 after I did SE3, just to see what it was about. Simple yet fun.

I remember playing SE2 long before I found SE3 which was at least 2 years before SE4 came out. Hehe. All of them great games. I sometimes reinstall SE3 everynow and then and play it a little again. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Don't think I have SE2 anywhere anymore though. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Re: Remember SE 2?

I found SE2 in a shareware cd that came with old Spanish magazine.
I got to play some hotseat games with a couple of friends.
After a long session of SE2 we concluded that unlike anything we've seen before, this was some shareware that was worth buying.
One of my friends that had an internet connection was sent to find out how to purchase it (internet wasn't popular around here that days), and he found about SE3 and downloaded it.
Shortly after that, we got the regcodes by email, and I don't recall playing the SE2 demo after that.

Maybe we can bug Aaron to include SE2 as an extra in the SE5 cd.

We should all band together and remake SE 2 into ... I know, SE III! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Seriously, if I had known about it being available I would have played it. But I was a naive internet fool until 87. My bad.

I'm always in the minority. You get used to it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I found SE2 on a shareware CD as well. I remember searching and searching for it later when I lost that CD and couldn't remember what it was called... then I found SE3. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
