We could even play the Sci-Fi mod it comes with, keeping in-line with the fact that we are discussing this on a sci-fi game board. Or not. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif

I'd go for the Gold. TOT messed with the graphics and naming of units just enough to screw me (and all the other experienced players) up a treat. I'd go the original as well.

As for CIV3, they just took it in an odd direction, it's still an addictive game.

ToT didn't mess with any unit names. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif The graphics don't change the game mechanics any; it still plays the same.

I like Civnet 1 best but can play any Civ 2 variant, I like to play...
